What kicks are yall rocking for the summer?

What can I say...they do make knockoff AF1s that sometimes infiltrate legitimate stores...maybe that's what you bought...the ones I have lasted years though...the only ones that I know of that deteriorate within months if worn under normal conditions are the knockoff joints...

Thats a possibility, but when I was rocken em they wernt really in like they are now. People were still rockin Reebok classics for casual shoes. Not saying I couldnt have bought a pair of knockoffs, but there wasnt allot of money to be made for that market because it wasnt as big. I bought atleast 5pair so unless I got jerked on 5 separate occasions Im blaming it on Nike cutting corners with that shoe.

I had a nice pair of gray wallabees (sp?) styled Timberlands...the soles were more like boot soles though...these soles look too much like sneakers...

Can you put a brother on to where you got the gray jumpoffs? I went to the Clark store and they were all out.

Anyway, I wear timbs or shell-toes..

Y'all don't know nothing bout these.............You rock these to the club or to the Mall, all the females gon try to holla!!!!

This was years ago in NY probably around 2001...there was a store called Active Warehouse in Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island...they had a special on Tims 2 for $140...they are gray with a sort of suedish material (most likely synthetic) and the sole was black and like and half an inch to an inch thick...and looked like the bottom of some typical Tims...I looked on the site but couldn't find them...they basically look like this shoe minus the straps and holes on the side...and gray and suede...it was a combo of this shoe and the Tims material and look that the first dude posted...

How old are you guys?

I haven't worn anything looking like tim's since I was twelve. You need to step your game up peeps, and enter the Bouj' arena. Beanies, shades, Long sleeved button shirts with designs, or just tight long sleeve shirts, fitting jeans ripped or normal don't matter and these;

Or I guess that is just something lighter skinned brothers can get away with, or you're going for some urban thug thing.

Been close to buying Pumas more times than a few. But I can never pull the trigger. I just say to myself I have some Maddens at home that look close to this anyway.

well most of the shoes brought up in this thread are 60 dollars and less. Hell the steph's are $15!

Its not like were talking about mikes or some exclusive $300 bapes

First it's the shoes, then the jeans, then the shirt, then the cap, then the cologne, then the...

It all adds up, and yes IT IS why so many blacks are broke with bad credit. :smh:
Me? I'm rocking the shit I wore last year!

You sound old as hell. The only time most people go out and buy a whole new outfit is during special occasions when you have to "pop tags" I buys shoes every other month usually, a shirt or two every month, jeans once a month, and how much cologne do you fuckin need. I usually keep two bottles on reserve. I dont wear hats. What Im saying is I spend about 100-250 dollars a month on clothes and shoes. How much money do you think people blow on gas and food??? Probably more than that. I still rock shit from last year too, but when I need to step out I would much rather look in the closet and have options than run out and buy shit when its marked up because of a certain day. People like to look nice, doesnt make them irresponsible. If they spend more money on clothes than anything else then thats them, but I spend money I can afford on clothes. No my credit isnt great but its far from bad. Got a car thats paid off and a town home in my name. You cant throw everyone in the same boat because you have a few dumbasses who spend all their money on clothes and neglect their bills.

^^^ bro where did you get the 2nd joints (blue and white) and the 3rd joints (red and green) from...are the second joints platinum leather all over...and how much they both run...that's exactly what I need to hold me down for the summer...

I've had these kicks for a little bit. I got the blue n white joints in Philly I think. They are Rasheed Air Force 1s. I think I got them a yr ago. They was like 90 they are premium AF1s. The 3rd joints were like 150 and I got them at Journeys I think it's called in VA Beach about a yr ago also.

Old as Hell? Early-Mid 30's
Mad as hell at see too many brothers spending too much money on "summer" clothes? Yes. :hmm:

But I feel u, not trying to generalize everyone. If you got your shit straight and can afford it, go for it!
Living in New York allows me to rotate summer/winter clothes & I'm not into latest fashion trends (anymore :D )

In this day and age, a black man is judged by his apperance. I dont wear sneakers, havent wore jeans in over 8 years and caps are not my style. As for cologne, i prefer oils. but if you $20 to look like a fool and be judged as such then thats on you. I have a image to uphold in my line of work, so i dont mind spending $100 - $250 on a nice suite and 50 - 100 on a decent pair of shoes. You would be suprised on the doors that open based on your footware.
