What is the longest you've taken a paid vacation

Three weeks for me recently and I need to apologize to my mental and physical.

My body and mind needed that break.

What is the longest you've taken a vacation?

Every year I check out of my job the week after Thanksgiving and come back the first week in January. I've been doing this for probably the last 6 years.

7 days for me.

And seven days is not long enough. It takes about 3 or 4 days for you to settle down from the work routine.

Then you spend the last two days getting your mind back into the work routine.

I was out on medical leave in late 2019 to the summer of 2020.

It took about a month for me to get out of the work set mindset and begin to relax.

Europeans get a average of 30 days a year. And can start taking vacation within their first year of employment.

worked remote in Vegas last year for 2 weeks, and on plan doing a whole month this year. Technically it wasn’t a vacation but with the 2 hour difference I got off at 3pm and did everything I would do had I been on vacation. That weekend I went to Long Beach which was 5 hours away

My last job made their employees take mandatory vacation on the week of the 4th and the week of Christmas. They forced us to use our PTO.

And those are the worst times to travel. But when I go on vacation I be trying to chill out.

I actually calculated the amount of time I work in an average week...it was something like 20 hours. And I have the best numbers on the team by far.

My new job is exactly what I wanted. I’m working remotely and the work I’m doing I was already doing on my own time for fun. Now I get paid to do the same shit I do for fun. Don’t even seem like I’m working until I have a meeting which is once or twice a week.

I can accumulated vacation time or cash out. Plus, we celebrate all federal holidays including Juneteenth
