Hmmmmmmmm

Doesn’t matter when you get the pills or if you wait 5 mins or 5 hours to take them

The moment you fake the first pill is at 0 mins. The 2nd at 30 mins. The third at 60 mins.

Clock don’t start til you pop that first pill.

I think.

I’m public school educated…….soooo……

Carry on…..

I agree buuuuuut thats NOT what was said....

Every thirty min is NOT Take one dose now and follow up every thrity min....

In his mind the clock starts 30 minutes before you take the first pill.

Once you think about taking the first pill that's when the clock starts. At that point you have to wait 30 minutes until you take the first pill.

Question is written vaguely to create debate.

If its 12am Tommorrow June 25th, the answeer is A 11:55am

If its 12am today June 24th, the answer is D 12:03am

Imma stick with 11:55am tho

Fam 11:55am is 11 hours 55 minutes after midnight. Or 12 hours 5 minutes until midnight. In five minutes it will be noon. 11:50am is 11 hours 50 minutes after midnight. Or 12 hours 10 minutes until midnight. A good 50 minutes from top of the morning. While 12:06 is 6 minutes from midnight. While 12:03 is 3 minutes since midnight. So if I tell someone meet me close to midnight 12:03am or 12:06am is more than appropriate. If I tell you to meet me close to midnight and you tell me you showed up at 11:55am I'm going to cut you off.

Well in this thread you're wrong about but you'll just keep typing mountains of words to make everyone forget what they're talking about.

But one last question about the prescription and when to start taking it.

Do you take it 30 minutes after the doctor writes the prescription?

30 minutes after you pick up the prescription?

Or 30 minutes after you get home from picking up the prescription?

TO follow the doctors orders according to the riddle, you would wait thirty minutes

to take it..

You guys are confusing what was actually said to do, and what you would actually do...

Its IMPLIED to take one now, but those were NOT the actual orders!!

Take one NOW and follow up every thirty minutes.. is different then take one every thirty min..

That one stumps some people just like this one...

If a doctor gives you 3 pills and tells you to take one pill every half hour, how long would it take before all the pills had been taken?

Now is there anything else that you'd like to talk about?

Just say that you're wrong and move on.

doctors have penicillin pills on deck or do they write prescriptions where it will take you at least thirty mins

to get?

Fact is there is a distinct difference between taking ONE NOW and following up every thirty min...

and taking One every thirty min.....

If doctor said AFTER YOUR INITIAL DOSE follow up every thirty min, then you would be correct.

He didnt..

Yall going to have to get over it.. Its ok to be wrong you know.....

So your ding a lang is burning and your doctor writes you a script and you go downstairs to the pharmacy a get 30 amoxicillin's and you are telling me that once you get them your are going to wait 30 minutes before taking the first one? Come on bruh....how does that make sense?

He doesn't have to make sense, he just has to be right...

To him

Yes its missing the words.. After your initial dose...

as in

After your initial dose, take one every thirty min

Now we can move on....

I see nobody knows about military time. It's simple, if 0000 is midnight then what's the closest number to that? It doesn't even have to be time, just remove the colons and change 12 to 00.

Midnight is 2400 in military time and after that it's 0001, 0002, etc meaning AM. But they don't use the first zero normally so they'll say 001, 002 etc.

Once the hands move to 12 noon, it's 1200 and one o'clock PM is 1300. Anything after 1200 is PM.

I say this to say it doesn't matter which way that time moves because it's not a time problem it's a math problem. The use of time is to throw you off.

1 hour
If you take the first pill at 10:00 PM, the 2nd or next pill would be taken at 10:30 PM(which is 30 minutes after 10:00 PM) , the 3rd pill and last pill will be taken at 11:00 PM (which is 30 minutes after 10:30 PM).

What is the closest time to midnight’ question splits crowd on true answer

This ostensibly simple question asks “What is the closest time to midnight?” before offering four answers:

The general consensus argues that the true answer is D. This is because D is just three minutes after midnight, the closest of all the answers to that specific time. If you treat all the answers as moving away from a center point (midnight), either forward or backwards, then the answer is D.

The question asks what is the “closest time to” not the “closest time until.” This suggests that the principles of time moving forwards do not necessarily apply.

Line of questioning leads to another potential answer

The wording of this question has led some to think more creatively about the answer. Rather than applying logic to test the question, some have pointed out that the answer could be which time is closest to the written word “midnight.”

This would mean the answer would be A, as it is typed closest to the word.

Others who got the answer A also may have been tricked by the wording. Given that the question is talking about midnight, 12:00 am, the inclusion of 11:55 am might have you thinking it’s closest. But it would only be close if it was 11:55 pm. The answer is actually five minutes from noon.

‘This is what makes kids hate maths’

Given the widespread debate this seemingly easy maths question has sparked, some are now pointing out that these types of tricky maths problem are what discourages young people from liking the subject.

“Trick questions like these only make kids hate math,” a Twitter user pointed out.

While developing critical thinking and logical reasoning is essential for young students, the ambiguity seen in this question has been deemed as discouraging due to the array of potential answers.

My older brother has a list of questions actually with the same one that you asked.

I have one for you and the board:

30 divided by 1/2 + 10 = ?

70.

That one is not too bad. Some of those questions get tricky with the parentheses and shit but this one isn't that bad.

Thanks!
That one usually confuses a few because they tend to think that,
30 divided by 2 is the same as
30 divided by 1/2.

I see some of you mfkrs are "carrying the one"......and you shouldn't be......hahaha

Overthinking/overworking mfkrs....

Also the answer was already posted, regardless of the movement of time, D is the answer

The man who posed the question told you the answer and you're still in denial talking about an imaginary doctor's instructions.

It's no longer funny because you're exactly who I told you that you were.

A person who's too stubborn to ever admit to being wrong. Now that we know who you are, debated and conversing with you is pointless.

With that said I'll leave you with this.

That shit makes NO sense...

The answer to the riddle is,

the doctor is not an effective communicator.

All that shit you are posting and everybody that agrees with it,

is just an example of the bandwagon effect.

You KNOW Im right, thats why YOU cant debunk it.

The correct answer is the doctor sucks at communicating and if you were to follow his

advice verbatim, you would take one every thirty minutes,

You can holla all you want, but you can NOT dispute the fact, that..

Take one every thirty minutes... is NOT

After your initial dose take one every thirty minutes...

FACTS

DEAL WITH IT!!!

The bandwagon effect is real, google it,

and thank you and everybody that thinks like you for proving it...

you and those that agree with you are ASSUMING he said to take one now, which he

never did....

You guys are assuming Im going by exactly what was stated.

I'm not reading all of this.....

The answer is simple and it's not dependent on anything except when you start and the amount of medicine taken.

The DR could give you the pills at 8am.....

If you start taking the pills at noon, 12pm....that's 1 pill, 12:30 is the 2nd and 1pm would be the last pill....total time taken 1hr

If you start at 9:30am, hell start at 7:45 pm.....the starting time plays no part.....

Once you start taking the pills, you will have taken all 3 in 1 hours time if you follow the orders as given.
