Question is written vaguely to create debate.
If its 12am Tommorrow June 25th, the answeer is A 11:55am
If its 12am today June 24th, the answer is D 12:03am
Imma stick with 11:55am tho
ExactlyThis is one of those questions where they are two possible answers
No need, I understand the question.Lol! Read post number 2.
A - 11:55am
Time moves forward, not backwards so 11:55a is the shortest distance in time to midnight.
No need, I understand the question.
If it's Mindnight June 25th, then 11:55am (12hours and 5mins away from midnight) is closer than 12:03am (23 hours and 57mins away from midnight)
Bro I’ve explained several times why I feel the answer is A , like the OP asked ( without dissing anybody).

So either explain why you feel the answer is D, or keep clowning which is the bgol way.

Naw I disagree. If this was just about raw numbers or absolute value, midnight and am/pm wouldn’t be involved in the question. It would just say which number is closer to 12, 11.55 or 12.03. Can’t just change the question to fit a specific answer. The question is more focused on critical thinking more than math. But we’ll just have to agree to disagree. The question asked, "what is the closest time to midnight". It didn't specify any dates. So, just looking at the question, the only logical answer is D. You're trying to complicate it into something that it's not.
One Hour! That one stumps some people just like this one...
If a doctor gives you 3 pills and tells you to take one pill every half hour, how long would it take before all the pills had been taken?

One Hour!
I would say D because of a three minute difference. Would have been better if they said midnight today or yesterday.
However, time doesn’t move backwards. So if you consider that logic, then D would be 23 hours and 57 minutes off, and A would be closer at 12 hours and 5 minutes.

They didn't ask about time movement though. Where does it mention forwards or backwards? That's how people get tricked, they over think it.A - 11:55am

It does mention movement, "Closet to" is future tenseThey didn't ask about time movement though. Where does it mention forwards or backwards? That's how people get tricked, they over think it.
If you don't take direction into account, B is 6 minutes away and D is 3 minutes away. "D" is the answer.
I can't agree with you...It does mention movement, "Closet to" is future tense
