What is a FEMALES definition of what a REAL WOMAN is?

We Men hear it all the time: A woman's constant referral to what it is they think a real man is and what he does. Women apparently have that answer as they always refer to what a real man SHOULD do.

Now I want to see if I can come over to SOL and hopefully get an answer to my question once and for all, since absolutely NO female has to this date has even attempted to SERIOUSLY answer this question when I posed it to them in other threads....

A definition of a real woman will vary from person to person.
But here is mine:

A woman who takes care of home, this includes her man, housekeeping, bills, children and cooking if necessary. She knows what is going on w/ her children at school and knows who her child/childrens friends are. She knows her husbands desires, needs & wants and knows to let him be a man and to submit. Meaning she knows when to stand her ground w/ her man and when to fall back. She also knows that before she can take care of anyone else, she has to know how to take care of herself. She keeps her appearance up i.e. her hair nice and her body clean. Her clothes FIT her!
She looks out for her parent/parents and is there in need. She doesnt talk about problems, but solves them. She is knowledgeable of her community and helps in building it up and keeping it strong. A real woman doesnt need to a ton of attention from various men. She is confident and secure. A real woman doesnt need to say....I AM A REAL WOMAN! She just is....
Lastly something my grandma used to say...A real woman knows when to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Yeah Mayne! Like finding a needle in a friggin haystack! We can all hope to be so lucky to find a sister like that.

A real woman is one that takes care of home but not brag about it. She can do what she needs to do and wait to do what she wants to do. She can make mistakes but learn from them; women as are men are only human. If a girl can learn from her experiences and cautions of others instead of brushing them off she can grow into a woman. A real woman doesn't have to bit her tongue all the time but must practice the art of tact. A real woman, (as a real person), cares for all not just her own...didn't I post something this effect like two months ago?


Anything that defines a real woman can define a real man. To be real is to be a person...flawedly real is to be human.

I feel it does good men a real disservice to point out what makes a good woman when we all need to be good people. But likewise with the women. How can expect a man to be a, b, c when I can't hold myself accountable on the same level? Why should a man expect me to do the same when he can't?

If we all gave as much as we take in our relationships, jobs, lives in general I think it would be the step to clearing up some of this bullshit, *cough* rap *cough*, because it allows you to be introspective.
 
I don't think it has anything to do with roles (i.e. a real woman is one that takes care of her man, washes the dishes, takes care of the kids, can change a flat tire, etc.) Not everything is for everyone, which also means doing one's duties according to a pre-ordained, specified list aren't what make a man a man.

Real peple, male or female, are people who recognize what they are good at, recognizes their flaws, and takes responsibilities for their actions. With that said, here is what being a real woman for "ME" is:

I put my children's needs before mine.
I put my husbands needs before mine knowing that he is doing the same so we are both taking care of one another.
I am always open and honest about how I feel, what I need, and what I want physically, emotionally, and mentally.
I always go to my husband first. I never run to talk to my friends or family about issues that we are having. We are each other's confidantes.
I don't point the finger or blame. I take responsibility for my actions.
I choose my battle wisely and know when to shut up about stupid stuff.
I make sure I take special time to have fun and do me, whether it's playing games with family and friends, watching sports, cooking, dancing, whatever. As long as I am happy as an individual, and my husband is happy as an individual, we will both be happier as a couple and parents.

I feel you. It falls on both men and women, but all we seem to hear is " a real man this " or "you ain't a real man" and I never hear anything about what constitutes a real woman. I was starting to believe that females never even took the time to self-assess to come up with what it means to be a woman to themselves.
 
I'm not going to type a long list of things that in my honest opinion are things that men/women should be doing as an adult the "I do this, I do that etc". I just take care of my business health wise, financially, mentally, spirtually etc. When I hear women say they are looking for a "real man" I assume they are describing someone who does the same....
 
In my opinion a real woman is honest, caring, loving and sincere. I think its just that simple
