...it has suddenly become pretty quiet around here. Looks like Apple has decided to scale back production on it upcoming version 3, hmmm, what's that about. They are not concerned about this company called PALM new product line called the Pre are they.

Funny, thing is that as a shareholder, I have never owned Palm product, probably because when it was time for me to get a smartphone, I felt Palm was like the chick who use to be bad back in the day, but had became comfortable and began to let herself go. This allowed RIM(blackberry) to pick up market share, and it was taken by surprise by APPLE's iconic I-phone...which IMHO is a okay phone, but runs some really cool applications.

Well, it's looks like the tides have changed once again, and PALM has reinvented itself, with a new OS and new device, and more devices in the pipeline. Now before you early adopters run out there and buy this new phone because it's hot, consider this, PALM stock has gone up 220% since the Jan 8th announcement at CES in Vegas, it was trading at around 3.50, now it's up to 11.00. Take a stack and buy yourselves 100 shares. It's an investment, and I would say it's at least a 20.00 stock in the next 6 months. If the Pre is successful, I predict this shit might hit 75-100 per share. The reason why I am taking the time to share this with you all, is because I'd like to see cats become take advantage of this low hanging fruit, become financially educated, and paid off this market. Time to move from the consumer mindset to the wealth building mindset. Peach Brahs

as a shareholder, you should be talking like that. I was a diehard Palm stan, basically because I never knew that Apple would make a phone at the time- it was the closest thing to an iphone. They had apps, good games, an all around great phone for what was out, except one major thing- processing speed- shit kept FREEZING UP!

Then to make matters worse, they abandoned their own OS and went to Windows!! That, and the fact that HTC,Blackberry, and a few others were making big moves, while every new Palm phone basically stayed the same. Then Apple dropped the bomb on em with the iphone. Yeah, it was lacking in a lot of things, but they marketed the shit out of it, plus the loyal Apple customers like myself, dealt with the shortcomings. Even during that period, which is basically 2 years now, Palm coulda came on strong and held Apple at bay, but they wait all the way til NOW?

You must not have heard about the iphone 3.0 software. The Pre will be great no doubt, but now they have the uphill task of taking customers AWAY from Apple, Blackberry, and whatever else is out there. The smartphone game cometition is really high now, and it will pretty hard to convince someone to go back now.

sounds like you trying help your stock out lol but thanks for the advice, plus if you know Apple they keep shit quiet than drops the bomb on every one lol

apple aint worried about palm its like jayz worried about soulja boy its not a problem. apple always get quiet before they drop a big new product. next money is apple time to shine!!

the only people worried about Palm products is Palm

nobody is shaking in their boots palm had its day in the sun the pre has a mighty big mountain to climb before its even a thought in anybodys head least of which is apple.

No pun intended, but please dont' compare apples to Oranges...Here are the facts Steve Jobs is MIA, His Chief Tech Guy has joined the competition, his CFO has joined the competition. THe only thing that Apple has been quiet about is the fact that there 3.0 upgrade, isn't much of an upgrade, in terms of OS...I agree...the Iphone is good device, with its great points...no fucking question, but I really feel that Palm new OS pales APPLE & RIM at this point. The jury is out, what do I know...I'm just a cat from the projects with few measly coins tied up in the right now. As stated before,I've never owned a palm device, I'm an investor I will never be married to company. I've been a semi satisfied blackberry user(4 exchanges in 12 months( :smh: ) ...it get's the job done quite well. I'm your typical business end-user...which why the i-phone doesn't appeal to my immediate needs. Nonetheless...I believe that competition is great for the consumer...all I'm saying is to watch PALM stock escalate over the next 4-12 weeks particularly after the product launch in the next few weeks, and make some cash in the meantime.

My perspective is that the lines between the two are blended...That's why they are called "Smart Phones"

They may be refered to as such, but the typical iphone user isn't working on charts and presentations on they devices. Palm and Apple have totally different demographics. It be best if palm stayed in there lane. When it comes to media apple has it locked down.

I couldn't disagree with you more...many I-phone users are former Palm users, who were fed up with Palm's lack of adaptability and drawn to the cache of Iphone's intuitiveness, application, and web browsing. Now what the Palm has seemingly done is create a platform that can run multiple apps seamlessly, with core business functionality. To your point, the lanes are wide open, because the market dictates that. Remember it wasn't too long ago when Apple was on the respirators, and developed a new product Ipod, then Ipone which not only shocked but created a new market, well, the genius behind that was Jon Rubinstein, who now is the leader at Palm....Not sure if you knew this or not, Jon and Steve argued bitterly over having a physical keyboard on the I-phone, in the end Steve won the battle, but he just may have created a war.

that maybe so but the typical iphone user isn't working on charts and presentations on they phone. Palm and Apple have to different demographics. It be best if palm stayed in there lane. When it comes to media apple has it locked down.

Palm is up .80 since my last message....AT&T are considering lowering their data plan to compete with the June release of Palm...all I can say is expect the unexpected.
