What did you learn about life post-25 y/o

there's a fine line between living for today, while still planning for tomorrow,,, doing either extreme (without balance) can be a bad thing,,,

i have seen people who kicked it so hard & spent freely in their 20's, & now they have nothing to show for it,,, & while they may have had a ball in their youth, these are the people you currently see looking old & burned out at 35+ years old,,, their best days are already behind them,,,

on the flip side, i have also seen people so focused careers & saving money, that they missed out on their youth (pussy, parties, traveling, friends, family, etc),,, once your youth is gone, you can't get it back,,, that's a bad look seeing 40+ year old people at the 21 & older club trying to dress like, & act like, people half their age,,, find your balance

Oh, one more thing: you may not do it today, but within the next few years or so, you WILL do a friends inventory. If you don't, you aren't progressing. If you are progressing in your life and career, you're going to find yourself assessing those you hang out with and what they bring to the table. Your homies are going to be your homies, but in your mind, those on the periphery are going to have to show why they need to be in your circle.

The longer you can delay gratification..the better the reward in the end. (I.E. college, grad school, etc)

Do what you love, but also do what works. Sometimes in life, doing what you love will keep you broke, even if you are good at it...So doing what works should always be considered(even if you dont like it), especially if it pays the bills..

When looking for a life long partner, make sure you are "great" friends before everything...Not good friends, but "great" friends. If you ever feel like you cant tell your girl something, or you feel like she cant...Then that means yall dont need to be together

Theres no limit to how well-cultured a person can become....Thats why its a good idea to save up and travel to different cities, and countries to experience what the world has to offer.

Wishful thinking alone is not enough...You have to prepare for the blessings as well. Wishful thinking + Preparation = desired results

If you keep doing the same thing over and its not working....STOP...Theres a term for that in the psychiatric world, and that term is "Clinical Insanity"

Here's mine bruh, and Happy Birthday:

~Pussy will get you in more trouble than it's worth; be smart about who you fuck with

~Some folks will hate/find fault on/with you regardless, so just let them be. A lot of these folks will be family. Don't be afraid to cut them off and keep it moving.

~Save at least 10% of what you earn, and shoot for more. Read the book "The Richest Man in Babylon" for reference. Invest and invest wisely and if you chose invest counsel, pick that wisely as will.

~"Good Debt" and "Bad Debt" is still debt. Avoid debt as much as you can.

~There's nothing wrong with having a small circle of friends

~Be willing to pay a little bit more for quality (food, clothing, autos) you'll save more in the long run (health and replacement cost, etc.)

~TRAVEL. See the country and the world

~Having a family/kids and all that is great, but if that's not what you want, don't force it, fuck what everyone else says.

~This one might sound odd, but if you can afford it GET INSURANCE; specifically, get a long-term disability policy, and if you ever plan to have a family, term life insurance. If you are healthy, lock that shit in for 30 years NOW. If something ever happens to you and you become sick/hurt, you won't qualify which could cause long-term financial issues down the line.

I'll add more as they come to me.

1. Don't be afraid of life.
2. Don't be afraid of death.
3. Find something greater than yourself to live for.
4. Take responsibility for everything that happens to you.
5. No father, no bother...avoid women not raised by a strong male.
6. Avoid women with kids (that aren't by you. lol).
7. Don't backtrack to the same women. Keep it moving.
8. Find quiet time periodically for self-reflection.
9. Don't take yourself so seriously.
10. Understand the world is really a big joke so enjoy your time here. Don't get caught up in all the bullshit like people's religions, hatred, etc.
11. Follow the logical road to peace.
