All you dudes who use alternative deodrants.

Do you practice a sedentary lifestyle? Because it's easy to use something, if you're just going to the office and coming home and turning on the TV. I'm at the gym five days a week, and make quick runs afterwards in the store sometimes. I do yard work and participate in sports also.

I've met and worked with several Nigerians who don't use deodorant, and it's not a pleasant experience at all. :smh:

I work out and I skate twice a week. I really put the crystal/stone to the test. The key is you have to make sure to keep under arm hair short or shaved. Also, you only have to buy one about every 6 or 7 months for the small ones, and up to a year for the larger size.

i used to love the right guard gel's then i switched up trying to move away from the antiperspirants.

used old spice, caught a chemical burn from the alcohol :smh:

used toms, but it was trash

used this, and never looked back  and it held up, even during humid nyc days

one thing i did notice immediately was that my undershirts no longer get yellow underarms. that was the aluminum in the antiperspirants that caused that

True, I kept my shit trim and the thai crystal, is definitely working. Even after I sweat a lot. It feels differently only because there's nothing clogging your pores, but it is definitely working for the full 24hrs.

Degree for Men.

I used to use Mitchum and it worked ok except that jacked up several of my shirts I got rid of it. I went back to an old faithful Ban Roll-on and that shit didn't seem to work longer than 8 hours. I tried Degree for Men and been using it for a couple months. No smell and it doesn't stain my shirts.

I'll be damned :)
This shit works really good. Granted, I've only been using it for 2 days, but so far it's the best thing since sliced bread. Looks and feels like there's nothing there... no scent at all, and pretty cheap. As long as I don't hear some news report saying the shit makes your dick fall off, I'll be using it from now on.

The one bad thing is that it's kinda slippery when it's damp, and I've almost dropped it on the bathroom floor twice already, and I have a phobia about using stuff that has touched the bathroom floor :lol:

this thai crystl is the shit

gotta take a shower everyday, maybe even two at times. also the "cleaner" ones diet, you dont really smell and or so bad. a chick told me one time i didnt smell black. i took it she meant i dont dine on pork.

hair traps bacteria, which causes odor

just make sure you don't rub your eyes after you touch it, it burns

Which... not what.

Anywhooo... That Tom's bullshit burned my underarms like battery acid. I'm talking peeling skin. Additionally, it's slimy as hell and ineffectual. In fact, I sincerely suspect that it makes one, after a few hours, smell worse that if one hadn't used any deodorant at all.

sheit, which ever one's on sale at the store when i need a new stick. all the same anyway. right now i got

That shit is garbage. I was hoping someone said it so I can say how uneffective that piece of shit deodorant is...the white one forms fuckin clumps under your arms and leaves a white residue which stains your shirt...and the clear gel is totally uneffective and does not protect you...

That being said I fuck w/ Old Spice...simple and effective...
Everyone's body chemistry is different.

Anyway, that was half a dozen years ago now and my lady actually makes my deodorant and...about another hundred customers.:)
used mitchum's for about 15 years, but stopped after I found out about the harms of anti-antiperspirants. Tom's of Maine worked, but irritated my underarms.

I use this now, and I'm pleased:

Fam, I totally agree.

And it's not just because I co-own a natural skincare line. At least 75% of our dollars are spent in the black community and as many natural products as possible.

Complex, this is a great question.

I am going to lay the limits of our deodorant on the line.

In June of this year, we were invited to the Juneteenth Festival.

4 days.

At least 8 hours.

Late 80's, early 90's, every day.

I applied our deodorant between 7 and 9 every morning and only one day, out of the four, did I have to reapply before leaving. I believe that was the hottest day. And that was on a formula that we have since revamped.

I break down and set up for fairs, festivals, and private events for a living, in the South, in the Summer and I have had no worries.
