I got some extra cash that I have been saving for a while now, I am trying to figure a hustle to flip my dough. Any suggestions?

Go to the casino.

Journey to the craps table.

Place 500 dollars on each of the following.

4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10

Also place 500 on the pass line, and 1500 behind it.

Pray no sevens hit for 40 rolls.

If no seven hits, your 5k will turn into about 200k.

If a seven hits, after at least one of your numbers hitting, you will get at least 1k back.

If a seven hit, after one roll, sorry for ya.

Open a futures trading account with $4000 and spend a $1000 on a few good books and DVDs on trading.

Start off small (1 contract), learn the market, and develop a trading plan. Make the commitment, and you will learn how to produce a self directed income.

I'm not saying you will be able to retire or live and "infomercial" style life, but you should be able to make some extra monthly scratch in about a year's time.

Education pays.

Do you have to watch the investment all day long durning working hours? I know you said buy the books but I just want to know how much time you'll have to invest per day. I opened an E trade account and did Visa and BP for pennies back when Visa started trading and I only had to log on for 15 minutes in the morning to check the value. I'm thinking a serious investor needs to take more time per day. True or no?

Not necessasarily. Just as when you are learning anything new, there is going to be a learning curve associated with it. You are going to have to make the commitiment and study charts and your technical studies. You will most definately "eat some glass" and study price action (either real time or in playback mode). Once you have developed your skill, you can then tailor your trading to fit your lifestyle. Currency futures and the E-minis trade 24 hours, so you can develop a trading plan to accomodate the times you wish to focus on.

In all actuallity, it's not beneficial to sit in front of your trading screen all day. You end up overtrading or screwing with the trades you have working.
