What are your favorite TV Shows of the last 10-15 years? Looking for recommendations.

i never bought into that whole weak black male characters thing dudes was pushing when the show was popular :hmm:
They were all weak, from T-Dog and on. All the main whites were portrayed as tough, strategist, etc. Michonne got her ass kicked by someone who didn't even appear in the credits.

i never saw it like that or looked at it that deep, T-Dog and Dale were the same character, Father Gabriel and Eugene were the same character. Morgan, Sasha, Michonne and Tyrese were all strong characters, they had weak moments just like Rick, Daryl, Abraham and Shane did.

Ozark
The Startup
Big Bang Theory
Daredevil on Netflix never gets old to me
Shameless
Snowfall
It's a ton of crap out there to watch for everyone.

Power (& all spin-offs)
Survivor’s Remorse
The Game

and it was adding too much corniness to it....

characters werent as fun to watch...
i hate when shows do this. always pair the sista up with some goofy cracka. Like they want NOTHING to do with black men. certain themes prevent me from getting into certain shows. that is a major one.

T-Dog and Dale were the same character
:roflmao: :roflmao:
t-dog had one sentence every other episode. That dude was making up his own lines at times. I remember one episode where he just mumbled some shit and then the whole cast looked at him as if he stole someones line.
Tyrese was reduced to the babysitter after getting his ass whipped by Rick.

But I've been watching those for a long time. So instead of binge watching those again, I want to try some different shit.

So I'm trying to fill my media server with all the shows people always bring up in these discussions.

I got all the shows I already like, and a lot of the shows I've always wanted to watch, but I still feel like I'm forgetting shit.

Good strategy. And if you don't want to focus on just 1 series in binge format, get a handful of them and chip away at those. Have like a rotation of sorts. We usually focus on 3 - 4 shows for the weekly rotation.

I feel you fam. I had a 2 year period where I didn't watch shit.

:cheers::thumbsup:

So many damn good series the past 20 or so years. It's hard to keep up with all the selections. I've heard the media / critics even say in podcasts it's impossible to keep up with everything. They'll often mention shows they've been meaning to get around to for months ... years even.

The Wire
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan
Star Trek Picard
Major Crimes
The Unit
Chicago PD
Blacklist
True Detective
Big Bang Theory
Boardwalk Empire

Bro - show had me hooked since season 1. Diverse characters is what really drew me.

Me too, i can honestly say I’ve watched every episode up until Rick left about 5 times. Dudes used to complain about filler episodes where there was no action but even those episodes were enjoyable to me

Like I said

Cobra Kai
Evil
Dark side of the ring

He will be entertained with those 3 choices..none of the 3 are your usual Hollywood corny everything ends on a happy note shit.. I like things a lil twisted up and chaotic
I've seen a few here mention Cobra Kai, the same with dude that grew up from Karate Kid? How was that so good? I saw it. Seemed blah.

thing with that show is the growth/development of the characters. Johnny (the villain from the original movies) is really more of a good guy that is down on his luck as an adult, while ralph macchio's character( the good guy in the originals), is more of a rich, arrogant asshole in this show. then you have the new wave of characters (the kids in this current series). Lot of fighting. that kid getting thrown over the railing and breaking his spinal column was fucked up.

Yeah but the show dropped on YouTube. Like no one wanted to pick it up?
