What are your favorite restaurants?

Pappaduex>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Copelands ALL DAY....

Have to agree with you on that brah, I like Copelands but Pappaduex is on another level. They have the best seafood gumbo I've tasted and I love their grilled catfish over dirty rice with a cream sauce over top the has shrimp and pieces of oysters in it....DEAR LAWD BABY JESUS...its the truth, yall. As far as I know, its the only place to have SHINER [microbrew] on tap.

My kitchen...ladies you should see the place. Its the perfect set up for a single executive such as myself. I often entertain my dates while preparing the meal , like your boy G. Garvin does on TV One. Makes for a very good evening , especially in the summer time, when I can use my deck. The most common compliment is usually get is something to the effect, " Well... if we get married I know whose doing the cooking " because baby boy got skills. My mom taught me how to throw down in the kitchen , because she said she did'nt know how long I was going to be single , and did'nt want me to starve. Open invitation....

As many times as I go to Apres Diem, I've never gone to that Thai restaurant and Thai is my favorite cuisine.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants is Top Spice!

They have the best spicy basil rice on earth! www.topspiceansleypark.com

And all those who said they didn't see what was so great about Cheesecake Factory never had their Chicken Madeira. It's so good I am still trying to replicate the dish at home. I make a good one myself though.:D

In Houston.

Pappaduex

Razzoo's

Pappa's Brother's Steak House that where I go when I want to impress people

the Flying Duch man on the Kemah Board Walk that where I take out opf town people

ATL:

- Pappaduex - Good Cajun cuisine.

- Papi's Cuban & Caribbean Grill (Ponce) - The Cuban Food is just like home (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)

- Bay Breeze Seafood (Mableton) - Great seafood for a reasonable price.

- Fat Matt's Rib Shack - femme, this is my favorite rib joint too. JJ's Rib Shack is good too but its always packed and it takes forever to get your food!

- LT's Wings (Cascade) - They serve some of the best wings in the ATL!

- Kobe Steaks - Great Japanese restaurant. Great atmosphere and very entertaining chefs.

I'm looking for a good Jamaican restaurant. I went to a spot on Franklin Rd. in Marietta and the food was straight garbage!

If you're ever in London, here a few places that I could recommend.

Carluccio's - IMO, the best Italian restaruant by far.

Fire and Stone - Nice little Pizza and Pasta restaurant.

Rodrizio Rico - If you're into Brazilian dishes, this is the place to be. Book well in advance. For one fee, its a eat all you can.

We all like what we like..but Baybreeze???? I ate there once. It was the worse..I won't even call it a seafood restaurant. it's like Capn D's..and it's near the crib:puke: But that joint is usually packed..go figure. Is that the Kobe steak joint in the Prado? Not a fan there, either.

Gotta go to Stone Mountain for authentic Caribbean food.............

What about that one Jamaican spot downtown on Auburn Ave not far from Grady? Is it still there?

I remember their food being straight!

We'll have to agree to disagree. I haven't been to Baybreeze in almost 3 years but on the few occasions that I went it was very good. I don't know how the food is now but when I went, there was no way you could compare it to a Capt' D's franchise.

Most of the seafood restaurants here in the ATL suck and Baybreeze is one of the best in my opinion (especially for the price, as I noted). Now I know thats not saying very much because obviously Atlanta isn't known for its seafood. Atlanta Fish Market is OK but for the quality, its way too pricey. Spondivits is so-so too.

I agree to disagree. Where's JJ Rib Shack? With a name like rib shack, it's gotta be good, certainly better than Atlanta Ribs:puke: or Sonny's:lol::puke: Jim & Nick's:smh: Before I moved to the A, I assumed there'd be Q joints on every corner. I don't know how I could've forgotten to mention Nuevo Laredo..best Mexican food in town..just expect to wait 45 minutes to get in.

JJ's is off of Cambelleton Rd. over by Greenbriar Mall. Great Bar-B-Q -- haven't been there in years though. Where's Nuevo Laredo?

Also: Where's a good Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant??
