The US is an empire...the wars are part of furthering that empire...empire in this day and age looks different (neocolonialism vs colonialism, furthering US corporate interests)...there is also some long term strategic manouvering (mostly aimed at China nowadays) ....I forgot who it was who said it (might have been Bill Clinton when he won) but someone said the "interests of the United States remain the same" when asked if they would change course on some issue now that they were in charge...Trump has been somewhat of an outlier but he too is definitely with the empire expansion

You are correct The Democrats did save a lot of people's lives during the '80s as Reagan and his regime wanted to mess up the working lower class people. but remember that was also a time before corporations were considered people and before corporate interest started paying off everybody in Congress whether they were Republican or Democrat.
Now we're under an entirely different dynamic where it doesn't matter what affiliation or party you like, they're all paid by the same corporations to do the same thing,which is ruined the lives of everyone that is not rich for the benefit of the wealthy and super wealthy.
You could be right, you could be wrong. To most people, it certainly looks like RU has a lot less military capability after this particular special operation than they did before they started it. That's thanks mostly to NATO led by the US. Do you think RU has already replaced all that stuff blown up by UKr? If not, then I would suppose they are weaker now than before Feb. 2022. Even if by some witchcraft you're convinced that they are at the same level of capability as before all the explosions started over there, their enemies have peeped their operational weaknesses. They also have two more NATO aligned neighbors. So, yeah things couldn't be any better for RU. You aren't wrong about it being a proxy war though.

Oh dude you need to read the full story on this. Most of those officers was hired on that department had records and it was give you tickets for everything. They made $5 million last year off of tickets and that town only has 250 people.
