Even worse though.. MEN have fed into this protect women at all costs narrative which has greatly contributed to why we are here today dealing w this bullshit. It's obvious that there are horrible men out here, but people act like there aren't horrible women, but when we address or call out the negatives, somehow, we are the villains..
It's truly sad that we don't have solidarity amongst men because we are all extremely vulnerable whether men know it or not. This Michael Irving situation is just one example of many. To your point, dudes think they have it all figured out because they haven't been through a situation like this yet. If you can avoid it, MORE POWER TO YOU, but the arrogance lies in the assumption that it can never happen to them.
Ignorance is truly bliss. I am no longer ignorant to all sides of this and a lot of men are blinded by their egos to understand that this is a real problem. I plan on doing some advocacy at some point re men's rights and the imbalance of legal, child support, and prison systems toward men.
