1. They "allow" Campbell to throw the ball downfield to Randel El. Moss did not practice this week so he may not play. Throw it to El like they do to Steve Smith in Carolina. Make them stop you because they are going to throw on Washington - a lot.
2. If Campbell throws a couple of picks - keep throwing. Detroit's 2ndary is bad. Don't handcuff the man. Bret Farve was "the Gunslinger" before he won a championship and he did not get yanked. Let the man learn and play!
3. Get Cooley involved in the passing game - not the blocking scheme.
4. Stick with Portis for most of the carries (if he is healthy). The platoon thing is good on 3rd downs/goal line - maybe - not the whole game.
5. Carlos Rogers actually looks back at the QB for once and plays the ball!
6. Springs/Rogers/Smoot do NOT give these receivers 10 yard gaps at the line. They will dink them for 6 yards here/ 5 yards there to keep changing the downs.
7. Get some pressure on the QB. Detroit can run a 4 Wide set easily. Somebody has to be in Kitna's face today.
8. Most important, Joe Gibbs CAN NOT call a conservative and boring game. I don't mean an 80-20 pass ratio, I mean let Al Saunders call different plays like he did in Kansas City to mix up the plays deep and open the middle up as well.
IF these thing are done then Washington will easily handle the Lions...in theory
