The fight scenes were pretty good but Spider Man 2 was better to me. I could have saved 30 bucks and just downloaded the shit.

Kids probably love, and those who weren't comic book geeks, probably like it too, because the Special EFX are pretty good (not great in this movie though). But for those of us who grew up reading, these movies have been disappointing. The cram too much stuff into a 2 hour movie. You've got too many characters and too many story lines.
Everything is underdeveloped, and rushed.
I think this would've worked great if it were done like the TV series "Heroes", but wouldn't make the same kind of money.

My girl feels the same way I do about the movie.
I'm not a fanboy of the Spider-Man comics or anything but checked out the flick yesterday and found it enjoyable. I wasn't going there expecting to be blown away and leave with a newfound respect on life and adjust myself accordingly. Nah.
It was packed with action, special effects, humor and yeah, Spidey's a puss but it was just to show he's human, too. I enjoyed all the villains and it didn't move slowly to me. I like character development in flicks and this one did the job.
I didn't expect "The Color Purple" so I left satisfied with my 2.5 hours and $10.25 tab (plus popcorn and soda). See it if you have a couple of hours to kill.

For all you so-called COMIC READERS. Do you know why there are so many TITLES with SPIDER-MAN in them (minus Marvel making more money)? Its because These Different TITLES deal with different aspects of PETER PARKERS LIFE. AMAZING, SENSATIONAL, WEB OF, and MARVEL TEAM-UP. Spidey is prehaps the most Diverse of all the Marvel Characters. They CRAMMED so MUCH into this MOVIE but IT WORKED!
OH! BUT VENOM WAS NOT IN THE MOVIE FOR THAT LONG!
Well last time i checked, VENOM was really EDDIE BROCK and he was in the Movie Long Enough to establish why he Hates "PARKER". Could they have taken the SANDMAN out and made the whole Movie about VENOM? The answer is YES and he could have been fighting GREEN GOBLIN 2 aka Harry. But THAT was IN THE MOVIE TOO! The movie would have just been SHORTER.
You got SANDMAN in there FOR THE HELL OF IT! Not a Problem. Venom didnt say "WE" is a Faux Pas i can over look.

They could have edited out a lot of shit and put it on an Extended DVD release but fuck it. I guess they wanted to do like SUPERMAN THE MOVIE and Make it seem as if you were watching Different Movies to please everyone. I personally Thought the PETER DANCE parts were funny.

The movie showed the UPS and DOWNS PETER and MJ went thru once she found out HE was SPIDEY and they got married. I dont see nothing wrong with Throwing in Gwen Stacey in there instead of BLACK CAT. A lot of you fools didnt even know who Gwen was and thought she was BLack Cat with Blonde Hair because you watched the Cartoon. Also Putting Black Cat in there would have resulted in a SPIN OFF that SUCKED since shes kinda like CATWOMAN and we all dont want to see that again.
