Walter E Williams - Public vs Private.. THIS GUY IS BRILLIANT!!

terrible analogy... Why didn't he just compare public schools to private SCHOOLS instead of cars an clothing stores?

What a dumbass

He's a republican boot licking coon.

Not a republican.. Stupid fuck.. He rarely touches politics. He's a free market capitalist... And far from a coon, I'm sure you've never read..

The State Against Blacks (1984)

Heres a 4 part documentary on it that ran on CBS....

Call him a coon again.. BITCH..

I understood what he was saying, but he only identified a fraction of the entire problem.

I agree with him completely pertaining to the disconnect between the public sector's performance and their salaries.

But it would take more than transforming schools from public to private to improve its performance

...key phrase = more than

He's a republican boot licking coon.

Thanks for saying it. Dude is a fucking loser. Whenever conservatives attack black folks on whatever bullshit, he's the first to raise his hand and take their side. Him and Jessie Lee Peterson both need to eat a bullet.

Bullshit he's been hosting for Rush Limbaugh for years. He's made many a COON statement on that show.

If he's made so many, as you say.. Post one..

(insert Drayonis crickets)

Walter is that you dog? Come on bro, I know you crack about your wife on the radio all the time, but would she be cool with you watching porn???

That's a lie. I've read many, many of his syndicated column and he's clearly a conservative Republican. His strongest columns, even when I disagree, are the ones where he sticks to economics but he reveals his buckdancing nature when he goes into social issues.

You're a lie..

Heres a brand new column called "Will Republicans Save Us" roasting the republicans..

http://www.creators.com/opinion/walter-williams.html

The 1994 elections gave Republican control of both the House and Senate. They held a majority for a decade. The 2000 election of George W. Bush as president gave Republicans what the Democrats have now, total control of the legislative and executive branches of government. When Bush came to office, federal spending was $1.788 trillion. When he left office, federal spending was $2.982 trillion.
That's a 60 percent increase in federal spending, closely matching the profligacy of Lyndon Johnson's presidency.

During the Republican control, the nation was saddled with massive federal interference in education through No Child Left Behind. Prescription drug handouts became a part of the Republican-controlled Congress' legacy. And it was during this interval that Congress accelerated its interference, assisted by the Federal Reserve Bank, in the housing market in the name of homeownership that produced much of the financial meltdown that the nation suffered in 2008.

As much as I like a lot of what Walter Williams says, especially on economics he drops the ball when it comes on social issues and the reinforcement of stereotypes.

You post a column where he tells some truth about Republicans and that makes him Not-A-Republican? That column is a "what Republicans should do if they gain majority in either/both houses of Congress" not his roasting of said party.

I get it. You're one of those that thinks a person has to follow the story of his political party no matter what similar to Rush Limbaugh saying Colin Powell wasn't a Republican because he supported Barack Obama. Gotcha.

Is Walt Williams superhero name Mr. Fantastic? That's a helluva reach in that video.
In the Jim Crow era South, the city government and the business owners were often one and the same not two separate entities. The laws were passed to reflect the mores of that time and that area. Jim Crow laws were cover for White business owners to discriminate againt Black folks (or whoever) legally.

Why do I have to prove it? You can see from all the other posts from people who know of Walter Williams that he's said his share of sideways coon heavy shit.

In order for there to be proof of someones coonery they have to have clips of it on the net? Keep on believing that Rush Limbaughs nut washer isn't a fucking coon:rolleyes:

private sector does many things better than the public sector ... case in point .. fedex vs the post office ...

maybe we should try privatizin' school ... that's sort of how it's done in some european countries ... the gov't says to school 'A' for each kid in your school .. we'll pay you 'X' amount of dollars (euros) ... if that kid leaves school 'A' and goes to school 'B' then school 'A' no longer gets that money ... and if school 'A' loses enough students then it goes bankrupt ...

and you take your kid to whatever school you want ... you don't have to go to the school necessarily in your district ...

this leads to schools over there offerin' all kinds of extra programs ... in order to entice parents to enroll their kids with them ... and it also leads to schools firin' teachers who are not performin' ...

it's not always about how much you spend ... it's about how you spend it ...

I agree with the "private does some things better" sentiment (though I don't know if fedex v. post office is an example) but it's to the point of some conservatives that believe the private sector not only does everything better but it should do so with no oversight.

The European way can't always be applied to the ways of the US. Europe has many countries and in many cases smaller communities within those countries. They benefit greatly from a homogeneous population in most cases allowing for an easier fit in most communities. It's easier to implement ideas like that when there are only 2 schools in your village.

Private schools don't always equate a better education either. Have you seen how many schools call themselves private and are stationed in a Krogers parking lot? They fight tooth and nail now to get government grants even though they are supposed to be privately funded.

Competition does breed better products, that's an economic truth. Unfortunately that same "truth" can't always be applied to every situation or program.
