I don't know why. That scene with Andrea and her sister was tense as hell. The sound effects on them pick axing those zombie corpses was gruesome as shit. The scene between Rick and Shawn was tight. You can see their relationship crumbling.
What some people forget is that this isn't a show about zombies, it's a show about people, with zombies as a backdrop. It's the story of humans in a fucked up situation. If you're just looking for zombies eating ppl, this aint your show.
Those of us who read the comic know that there were issues where things were quiet. Usually right after or right before some majorly fucked up shit.
