Wade Signing with Bulls

Lemme stop you right from jump.

The Heat did not NEED to have Whiteside's 'Bird Rights' in order to make an offer to D.Wade. :smh:

Let that sink in.

Why the hell would the Heat sign Hassan Whiteside to a contract that gives HIM the most leverage, in the long run? Before they sign their 'leading scorer'?

(Hassan was a player who absolutely NOBODY was a looking for just 5 years ago..... who had just spent his last 6 years ‘commuting’ between a few different China ball teams overseas… and the NBA D-league)

Why does he get PRIORITY over the guy who won 3 titles for you?!!? :hmm:

Because SOMEBODY does not know WHAT THE HELL they are doing. :smh: Thats WHY.

Stop ‘making excuses’ for these jackasses.

First of all, Hassan Whiteside… is a guy who was coming from the cotdamn D-league… who made a ‘pit-stop’ in Lebanon …..so you offer him a contract with a ‘team option’. Period. End of Story.

Take it or leave it.

If he doesn’t want it…. let his agent go struggle to find a different NBA squad (when less than Nobody in the league was even ‘looking for fucks to give’ to Hassan), during this time. :hmm:

When D.Wade was taking ‘pay cuts’ to bring LBJ & Chris Bosh on the squad… in order to lead the team to their 3rd NBA title…. the 2nd title back-to-back…. Hassan Whiteside was playing pro-ball in LEBANON.

(Yes, you read that right. F*CKING LEBANON. That great mecca of ‘hidden NBA talent’ overseas.)

And this is the guy the Heat choose to pay MORE than D. Wade?????????

And you got the nerve to ‘justify’ this. :hmm:

Why the fuxk are they even typing up Whiteside's contract before D.Wade's contract?

Now the ONLY way you give Whiteside a contract that makes him a ‘unrestricted’ free agent (when he's coming from Lebabon)... is that you have to honestly ‘believe’ that Hassan Whiteside is your team’s FUTURE and that HE is the BEST #1 option to REPLACE your current HOF'er D. Wade & everything he has ever done for the Heat franchise. :hmm:

Bottom line…. You would have to look at Whiteside & believe HE is your NEXT ‘Franchise Player’ before signing any checks.

And if you thought that Whiteside is your next franchise player. then why would you pursue Kevin Durant this off-season in the first place….. if you already have your NEXT franchise player on the team??

Sell that bullshit somewhere else.

Make no mistake….

- Pat Riley took a 6-year D-League player who only had 1 good season (named Whiteside)….
- Plus a guy who has NEVER been an NBA All-Star in his career (named Dragic), and never led a team to a title…
- who BOTH average A LOT LESS POINTS than a guy named D. Wade….
- and ‘had the audacity’… to make BOTH OF THIER CONTRACTS a ‘bigger priority’ than D. Wade’s contract. :hmm:

IF you don’t see my point.. Lemme spell it out simply:

“Wade’s Contract should have been negotiated LONG BEFORE they ever even ‘typed-up’ Goran Dragic,or Hassaan Whiteside’s contract. Not AFTERWARDS. :smh:

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON THAT THE ONLY GUY ON THE SQUAD………. WHO DOES THE ABSOLUTE MOST FOR THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE…… SHOULD GET PAID ‘DEAD LAST’…… OR MAKE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF MONEY… FOR 13 YEARS STRAIGHT…. :smh:

…. using whatever money that is ‘left over’ that they could ‘scrape together’…. from all the Free Agent deals & ‘wishful thinking’ that fell through.

That’s downright shameful.

That’s EXACTLY what you are defending. :hmm:

The bottom line is... Miami should've been using 'scraps' to figure out how to sign the 'other guys'.... Instead of using 'scraps' to figure out how to make Wade's contract work.

Excellent breakdown sir
Excellent

You didn't even have to bring up the Bosh contract or trying to lure Durant

Always seemed like a forgone conclusion to me ever since I heard his name linked to them. He'll be a viable D. Rose replacement simply because he'll probably play more games than D. Rose this season. LOL

He has the mindset of the typical passive aggressive immoral cac. Stab you in the fucking back and say "oh its just business".
I didn't read the whole thread and can only assume you're talking about Pat Riley, and I agree 1000 percent. I still feel raw about what he did to Van Gundy. I know cacs are cacs and it's in their nature to be sneaky like that, but man that was wrong. I have never liked Riley since and I'll put an asterisk next to that championship on his resume. Furthermore, I hope they did the right thing and had a ring made for Van Gundy for that championship.

More Heat dropped

No they did not. :hmm:

Hassan's bird rights have zero to do with what the Heat could offer Wade.

The bird rights are important only if Hassan is the BIGGER PRIORITY over Wade, to stay under the cap.

They could have signed Wade FIRST... then made an offer to Hassan, or traded players if need be - to scrape up the money Hassan wanted.... is the point you are missing. Not the other way around. :smh: Instead they were trying to scrape up the money Wade wanted.
Yep pat got to cocky with wade. As a heat fan I don't blame wade for bouncing

Serious question how does this helped the Bulls though? Butler and wade? Not sure about that..plus where does rondo fit in?

Not a good shooter among them cause Jimmy hasn't been a good 3 pt shooter in like 2/3 seasons

No Thibs

No rose and Noah...Ok they were always injured but its not like the NEW players are iron horses either

and you traded Dunlevy to Cleveland.

What ARE they doing?

Are they rebuilding? Going for the playoffs?

I do not understand what they did here?

UNLESS they trade Butler to Minnesota for some of their young talent, THEN I could see something.

Imo From a Bulls fan perspective this changes the narrative of them trading away Chicago's temperamental but serviceable son to them willing to put up money to field a competitive team. The Bulls have a loyal fan base $$ will be there, management?? GarPax kicking the can down the road.
