Sony is not going to win the console race with that high ass price, I'm sorry. The graphics ain't all that either. Microsoft is beginning to pull away and out of sight unfortunately. I also heard they aren't going to cut the PS3 price until June of 2008 at the earliest!!!!!! I wish Sony well.

looks like another instant classic for sega.

it's actually good that they haven't done too much to the gameplay since vf has consistently been the most balanced fighting game series on the market and actually rewards people who take the time to learn the game instead of just mashing buttons.

imo, street fighter's the only other game that comes close in this regard.

now, if only they had left vanessa's character design alone instead of making her lighter in complexion and flatter in certain areas.

i guess that's too much to ask the japanese fanboys to deal with, though.

Amen. I am a BIG Sega Fan but this game looks and plays like the same shit I played on Sega Saturn....... BTW, It was never on PS1

The hair and cloth simulations and physics look great. But the interaction between the characters and thier surroundings isn't up to par with what you would expect from a next gen system. If the scenery had been more detailed and the lighting better done to blend the characters into the scene, vs. having them look superimposed on it, Maybe I would feel better about this title.

Im with you on waitin on the 360 version but don't hold your breath for online play. from the sounds of it Yu Suzuki is so bothered about lag messing with the gameplay experience (remember fps play a big part in pulling off moves in this game) that the most we can probably hope for is downloadable content, AI or rankings etc.
Shame though DOA was still fun.

Well, I though Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus was a great fighter for the XBOX. But obviously there wasn't enough interest in it to warrant John Tobias takin time to develop a sequel.
