Violent Repeat Offender Keon King has been charged with kidnapping missing woman Kada Scott. Kada remains missing, officials hope she is still alive but there has been no trace since Oct 4thKeon King had been charged earlier this year with kidnapping another woman he knew, a case that was WITHDRAWN after the alleged victim failed to show up for court more than once; officials now say they intend to refile charges in that case. In that instance, King allegedly kidnapped the woman from outside her home, pushed her into a car, assaulted her, and then released her from the vehicle.

She picked him.

Well, still don't know about that
Some way or another, he did get her phone number and called her on the daily.
And knew where she worked and her work schedule.
And was waiting for her when she got off work and he kidnapped her.

"In the days leading up to her disappearance, Ms. Scott related to her family and friends that an unknown individual or person had been harassing her via phone," Craig said.

Craig said officials have not identified the person who was allegedly harassing Scott, but are continuing to investigate "very thoroughly."
Her phone, iPad, keys, and other belongings were not inside the vehicle, WPVI reported.

Police are still working to determine how Scott and the suspect knew each other, but say they believe they came into contact in the days before the disappearance.

“Our evidence is pretty clear that she was in communication with an individual, that individual appears to meet her very shortly after she leaves her place of work, and very shortly after that, she disappears,
” Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore said.
- **Timeline**: - **Oct. 4**: Scott leaves work ~6-7 a.m., last seen on surveillance. Phone records tie her to King, who was nearby in a stolen Hyundai Accent.

The beards and young savages should of done what they do.He'll probably have a hardtime in prison as he should.

It sounds like the laws In Philly (?) need to be updated. Im not sure if it is a Maryland, certain counties in MD or the larger DMV, thing but i believe the state would still prosecute even without women coming to court. At least in domestic abuse cases. The thought being women may not go forward with telling for different reasons like the boyfriend convincing them not to. Just an example, as the victim doesn't appear to have been in a relationship with the killer. It sounds like had he been given time for the other kidnapped victim, this woman would not have been killed.

Another thing and this is very much opinion based, so someone with experience as a CO or inmate can correct me. I honestly don't believe anything happens to this guy unless the crime was very horrific. Not saying what happened wasn't already. My thought is they are all criminals and he is likely going to end up with violent criminals like himself. Unfortunately, rapist would be a normal crime relatively speaking and killing. If something happened to a child or possibly a teen ( don't know the age of the victim) , I could see this increasing the chance of someone getting him. Outside of that, id imagine it's a live and let live policy.

Another reason I believe this to be the case. You hear about men being raped in prison. I haven't heard too many stories about other men harming the rapist. If there were, in theory being raped wouldn't be a concern because most would fear the repercussions of doing so. It sounds like in the 90's and before ( still but not to the same level) prison rape was very common practice. I guess i could see a difference that would explain this but still.

I think regular citizens believe inmates to be less human or civilized, so they'll do the jobs we wouldn't. This is likely true for certain individuals. As a whole, I believe most are just trying to make it home. Unless you are already a lifer and given up on the chance of going home, you definitely aren't taking anyone's life or doing too much that would increase your current time. You are also still punished in prison. Most aren't trying to end up in the hole for months or years at a time.

Again, not saying this never happens just that it may not be as normal as you'd want to believe. At least, this is the impression i get from listening to former inmate YT story channels. It sounds like you are more likely to be harmed for stealing or some other petty offenses based around someone's ego than a crime you've done.
