Video highlights of Rousey Holms...daaaaaaayuuuum

A lot of those fans just left the buildind. It's insane to compare her to Ali or any other athlete with real accomplishments. This chic was totally hyped up. Like B.B. King said. "The thrill is gone"

you don't think half the country cheered when this happened?? You don't think alot of Ali fans where like

of all of Ali's fights the greatest is the his trilogy with Frazier.

Rousey-Holm has the potential to be UFC female MMAs version of that.

Again the point is you're comparing two different levels of competition and accomplishments. Ali was not a prop. He was the real deal.

Holm did her thing. Rousey showed too many weaknesses. The cheap shot in the weigh in was about getting her off her game. No way she should have been punching with Holm. She looked drunk after the first combo

Rousey was shook before she even threw one punch. The chic was gassed from hyperventilating (fear). Even when they went to the ground Rousey couldn't get off. Holms wasn't having it. She faced a different level of competition and lost.

Frazier was Ali's first loss after being undefeated in 32 fights. He was arrogant and cocky and loud. And he said he couldn't be beaten.

I'm not saying rousey is an athlete on Ali's level I'm saying their narrative in the respective sports is similar.

Arrogance:
"but she's been very successful doing the same things for a long time, and we were able to capitalize on that."

Study the enemy:
"The other coaches and I got together, and we're not fans. We're not like, 'Oh God, Rousey is the greatest ever.' It's just a math problem to us.

"We knew we were fighting Ronda Rousey one day, so Holly never wanted to show all her cards. She still hasn't shown all of her cards after tonight."[/SIZE][/B]

Very smart coaches.

Rousey will get her ass handed to her if she does a rematch

:smh::smh::smh:

I can't find a video, gif, or image that has it online but there is a moment after the fight that was symbolic on how Holly's brutal win over Ronda was epic.

It was after the fight and Ronda was still in the ring and they had announce that Holly was the new champ. Holly goes and hugs Ronda and she speaks a few words to her.

Whenever you guys see it, look at Ronda's demeanor throughout the entire interaction. It was like a mother who just got through spanking her child and then explaining to her how the ass whooping had to happen to teach her a lesson.

I searched the internet and this the closest picture I could find of the moment...
holm10.0.0.jpg

When Holly was speaking to Ronda she stood there emotional, shoulders slumped, and exhausted. She just nods her head then somberly walks away. We haven't heard from Rousey since.

I would love to see a meme of the exchange where Holly is telling Ronda, "Now go to your room and finish eating your humble pie." Then Ronda walks away sniffling.

Anyway, I think a big decision has to happen with Rousey's camp. I think Ronda has gone too Hollywood. Even that Dana dude mentioned how she has movies to shoot in post fight interviews. Ronda can either quit and go Hollywood full time or try to reclaim her title. From what I saw Ronda has a lot of work to do with her boxing skills. And Ever competitor with sufficient boxing skills will be gunning for her now.

P.S. I don't have much against Rousey. But I too thought that she was being over-hyped, disrespectful, and a little too arrogant.

I hope Holm say fuck that bitch and don't give Rousey a rematch

She'll give Rousey a rematch and beat her again. In a rematch Rousey won't be as aggressive moving forward but she also knows she can't stay on the outside either and get tagged by Holm. When Rousey can't get inside she's extremely limited in what she can do. She's not a great striker and she has no kicks to speak of. If Dana White was smart he wouldn't allow Rousey to take the rematch right away.

I caught that too. Ronda was humbled like motherfucker. It almost made me feel sorry for her but she deserved what she got. If Ronda continues fighting i bet her whole attitude is gonna change. She's be a lot more respectful now and take nobody for granted. That's the thing people miss about Mayweather; although he talks a lot of shit he never took anyone for granted; he is a master of his craft!

She talk so much shit til now people find pleasure in her loss. That cookie crumbled badly.

The point I'm trying to get across to you is that Ali was not built on hype. So one loss meant nothing. Rousey was built off of pure hype. Now that hype has been deflated. They don't have the same narrative.

BSPN conveniently doesn't show the knockdown highlight. This is just beautiful, Holm made Rousey look so basic which I love because this bitch was getting on my nerves with the that overhyped arrogant ass of hers.
She wanted a fight with a boxer and got one!
I never rooted against her, but I believed from the beginning that there was more "pr" than punch...I just did not know which opponent would make it so.

Now we know...
Dana white said the bitch was a once-in-forever
fighter.....
She is...forever defeated.
The most dangerous fighters are Southpaw who can kick.
I noticed that sh!t immediately and that was ultimately her undoing.

Her breathing was very, very labored too.:smh:
not necessarily...from a business/BO standpoint this is the BEST thing that could happen for rousey and UFC..

Now she has a nemesis....

In terms of narrative welcome to flavor country because NOW Rousey has an obstacle to overcome, a journey to cross.

Holm vs Rousey II is going to be HUGE box office...and IF..IF Rhonda beats Holly then Rousey vs Holm III will be EPIC.

UFC will bet PAID..both of them will get PAID and this will be legend making.

From a business/narrative standpoint is isn't a horrible thing at all..in fact its probably just what the sport and her career needed..:yes:
Dollars and cents/sense wise, you have a point.

I think Holly will beat her in the next one, too, though.

The movement weakened Rousey. The fist work pulverized Rousey. And the final foot finished her. It was no match from the start.

Rousey standup isn't her stronngpoint and Holms is great at standup, Rousey and her team had a flawed game plan which cost them the win.

I'm glad she lost though :D
