verizon and att $90 flat rate unlimited cell phone plans

having worked in this industry for a while this is a MAJOR MOVE. although data prices have not moved yet i can't see the rest of 2008 going by without seeing verizon and att slash data prices as well.

att is already unfair with the iphone in comparison to pda phones. unlimted data on an iphone is 20 bux. on pda it is 40 bux. not right i don't care if the iphone is only edge, and the pda's are hspa. a unlimited blackberry plan still costs 30-40 bux and it is edge.

by the way, i pay 140 bux per month for 3 lines with 550 minutes and unlimited data and texting on one line and texting on a different line. i use all three.

For an extra fee right? I was talking to a chic about that the other day. Unless she dont know what she is talking about. She told me that she has to pay extra to roam different states. And she paying 65 bones per months. If thats the case she may as well ditch her half assed working phone and get a real phone with a real plan with Metro PCS or whomever she chooses.
She is right you do pay extra. Your fee depends on the plan you have. But is a person doesn't travel allot then it is perfect. If you do travel allot you could end up paying more then 99.00

Aight this is what I'm saying. My career requires extensive world travel and my bill is 87 dollars per month. Services include the following:

59.99: 1000 use or lose mins / free nights / 3day weekend starts @ 9pm thurs
20.00: unlimited data / aka internet access
06.99: 1000+ text message and pictures messaging
86.98

Just to let you know the 3 day weekend plan is a plan from way back in like 2001 LMAOOOOO!!!! Only thing I do is upgrade phones that I purchase unlocked from elswhere. Also, I can make or recieve international calls to and from the U.S. or anywhere else on the planet damn near. And I'm with T-Mobile...

verizon still sucks cause thier nighttime minutes start at 9pm and nobody is in thier damn network

so they can take thier new little calling plan and shove it up thier asses

you also have to remember that verizon has in-unlimited as well. Talk to anyone or text anyone on a verizon network and its unlimited.

i guess you wouldnt have to worry about nighttime minutes under the new $99 plan

funny thing is i was on thier previous $99 plan where u get 2500 minutes and i just recently switched to sprint

i have verizon and everything they stand for so they couldnt pay me to come back

what about sprint sero? Unlimited Text, Data, nights and weekends starting @ 7, 2500min for $60

I'm with Verizon right now, but I'm thinking about switching to sprint for the unlimited Data plan

Just placed order for a touch! Thanks m8 for this!!

I'm no Sprint fan...but do to declining sales and an attempt to bommerang new market share...they too will soon announce an unlimited plan that will be sure to as they say "throw shit in the game" Reminds me of het LAN line wars 10+ years ago...this is a hue victory for the consumer

sprint already has one, it's been out for a minute, it's 120 plus tax, for unlimited everything including web use. sprint tv, navagation, ect. fuck att and verizon, i just switched from att to sprint.

i have cricket mobile nd its unlimited. i only pay $54 a month.. i havemt had a land line in over a year

Why would people who are getting free text and calls for $39.00 no contract switch to pay $99.00. I have both at&t and Metro PCS. I have to admit I prefer my Metro over at&t. I just love my Iphone but Metro PCS has the better service to my surprise

IM WAITING FOR AN ANSWER

because what good is a cellular service for 39 bucks if it cuts off on you when you reach the city limits?

i've been going over these locations as i've been down here and the carrier here called suncom probably has the best rate plans i've seen....

they offer everything from unlimited to myfaves to unlimited incoming, unlimited phone data, more minutes per dollar (1250 min for 39.99) and so on...basically whatever gimmick another carrier has they come right out with it. too bad they're going bye bye in the next few months...

Yeah too bad you can't leave your metro area or the country even and still have service.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
T-Mobile is killing these other companies. I never had a problem with them. That dropped call issue a lot of people have can be caused by the phones you have, believe it or not.

Get you facts straight man, i got travel talk on my shit and get service out of state and all

in philly sprint is offering an unlimited plan for $119 a month...that includes everything voice/data/text/picture & voice messaging...i got that shit and have seen the value in the amount of calls i make....i rarely if ever use a landline.....and using a moto q so i get that online thing in too!

I think maybe I am showing my age.
I'm almost 30, working full time, and in a committed relationship. My cell bill is $50 a month, including texts, after all fees.

I guess for people who LIVE on their phone... they spend close/more than 100???

im over 30 working full time committed 2 kids at home, cell bill 91.00 and its not side ladies its home, work, kids, wife. work requires travel so cell a must and i use my cell anytime anywhere as long as i need thats how i like it without worrying bout overages.(takes a moment to drop tear for cingular) hate at&t but thats another story . the $90 flat rate sounds good but yea no data plan so u will be 120+ in the hole every month so consider it carefully. im sure it will work for most tho cause a lot of people pay more than 100 now

And all you that are talking about switching to sprint should talk to someone who has sprint first and let them inform of all the hidden shit that will get you every month .................great service (but sprint gonna get you)

i'm a lil undecided on what i should do when i contract ends i pay T-mob like 160 after tax for 3 lines and 2 with blackberry data...

1000 fam min $69.99
unl blackberry data 2x $40
unlimited messaging for fam.. $9.99
3rd line $9.99
equipment protection 3x(???)

any one have any suggestion as to other cell phone company for about the same or less as what i have now??

and my Vz land line is like $30 after tax and thats unl minutes.. beats some of these $100 plans for unlimited calling..

Coverage is broader than the city limits. I use Metro from St.Pete/Tampa to Orlando to Miami to Jacksonville AND in Atlanta.

Bottom line. You gotta go with whatever rocks your boat. Since I have a company phone that I can use when abroad, I use my MetroPCS phone to keep me off of the company radar in regions with coverage. Not to mention that if you're in their service area, how often do you really leave it?

My phone and my daughters phones (3 phones unlimited EVERYTHING), with ALL the services only cost me $128 per month. Can't beat it.

What you mean get my facts straight? Dude and I already discussed the issue earlier in this thread that you trying to handle me with. You still gotta "pay extra" for some shit that is the "norm" with other plans from other companies charging similar dollar amounts. Read before you post garbage....... :smh:

Can somebody tell me if Cellular South is a good cell phone company?:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave:groupwave

would anyone pay 46.00/month for unlimited service with unlimited text

that is what you get it for if you have 5 lines on the unlimited family plan for 200.00 with t-mobile.
you pay 199.00 for the plan including 2 lines
then 10 for each additional line up to a total of 5 lines in plan and that would look like this
200 plan with 2 lines
30 3 additional lines
230 total (add your taxes and fees of course)

can't get any better than that.

Boost Mobile got a plan for unlimited talk and text within your calling area for $60 a month but they hit you up for .15 a minute when you leave your calling area. A couple of people I know got this and they get better coverage than my T-Mobile. If you don't much this would be a good option.

Why in the fuck would anybody (single, individual) pay $100 a month for a cell phone?
Is there anybody who:

a) pays more than that monthly who will benefit?
b) would use their cell phone more in order to get their money's worth?
c) would cancel their home phone if they already haven't?

That just seems ridiculous. For a PHONE?

i must concure i got helio and i pay 107 a month and i use at least 3000 mins a month and i text out the ass but i got free everything

lol:lol:, that is so incorrect.

it's 199.99 for the first two then 99.99 for each additional line. So 5 lines would end up being 500.00 bucks.

Sorry to sleep on this thread... been hanging over at BAS forum. Anyway, have cellular south service. They capped me at 3000 minutes a month anywhere, anytime, unlimited text, internet access, voicemail, for $150. Overage 25 cents a minute (this killed me over December). THEN they announce a TRUE NATIONWIDE PLAN - $79.99. No minutes capped! No roaming fees! No overages! I'm actually switching to this plan.

I concur.

Nice. I remember when Nextel was killin everybody w/ the $99.99 unlimited plans 6-7 years ago.

If you use your phone for business - unlimited plans are on point.

How's AT&T customer service? Data?

I've been with Verizon since 99 so I was glad to see the plan...but in actuality they're all late. Nextel had this plan about 4 years ago...problem was the only people who used them then were employees who used the direct connect or niggas in the city of New Orleans..as that phone seemed to be standard issue for NOLA

i guess it didn't come out in a lot of areas....

but here(in ohio)verizon came out with unlimited plans for 49.99 back in 2000. there are people to this very day that still have that plan. same with alltel.

I need you guys opinion, who should I go with? Cellular South 66.00 unlimited talk within your calling area 750 minutes outside your calling area or Boost Mobile 57.14 unlimited talk and text within your calling area, but 15 cents a minute outside of your local calling area. taxes have already been added to both totals. Please take in to consideration company's service and dropped calls etc.
