What are you getting your S.O./BF/GF/Husband/Wife?

Plans?

Do you celebrate it? What do you want?

Wow...

hmmm...one of my Polyvore outfits would be nice...or my shrimp and scallops in a white sauce...

Damn this evil holiday that preys on the consumer that is hidden deep down in all of us and preys on the lonely!!!

sorry.. I had an anti-Valentine's day moment...

:hmm: Valentine's Day

I have many plans of what to get him for the big day...one of which is myself with a huge bow wrapped around me

Although it looks like we won't be together for the holiday, he'll definitely get the message that he is my Valentine...but, I'll forgo all the usual date BS and same ole, same ole V-day events just to spend a quiet evening with loved ones...

I used to be big about celebrating it, when I realized that it shouldn't take a holiday to show someone that you care. Also, it shouldn't just be a day to show your significant other that you love them. My father used to get small gifts for me and my mom growing up to show us both that he loved us...I thought that was the sweetest thing! I think I will get some small tokens of love for some of the kids at my school...they are truly my heart!

I aint gettin nobody nothin. I really felt indifferent about Valentines Day. I would get girls something back in the day cuz I felt I was supposed to but now I realize that its kinda bullshit.

Had to quote these!

Smart woman Cleo...that's why we cool!

:lol:I see you MTL:lol:
i want a nice rich man..yeah i mean money and no i'm not kidding.

You know what..This is the 1st year that I am like "eh what ever"on this day. I just want to give and make the day special for my children and my man. I really dont want nothing..Just to give from my heart and let them know I love them.
I am thinking about going to the domestic violence womens shelter and giving out roses to the women staying there. They need to know they are loved and cared about.:(

Here are some very nice and romantic INEXPENSIVE ideas!!
1. Send a free e-card to your Valentine. No need to make the trip to your local greeting card store for this gift idea!

2. Send virtual roses. You'll need some flowers to go with your card, right? If money is tight this year, do the next best thing and send your sweetie virtual flowers...

3. Cut and Paste. You don't need to be artistic to create your own Valentine card. Gather old newspapers and magazines, then cut out words and phrases that can be combined to make a romantic, sexy, or humorous Valentine message. Paste your message on a big, red heart cut from construction paper.

4. Capture a Kiss. For the ladies...put on your reddest lipstick, pucker up and kiss several a sheet of plain, white paper. Repeat until you get a good, "pouty" kiss, then personalize it with your Valentine message and signature!

5. Dedicate a Song. Many radio stations allow listeners to call in and dedicate songs. Find a local radio station that does, then phone in your dedication; make sure your sweetie is listening!

6. Say "I Love You" in a Foreign Language. Impress your love by telling them "I Love You" in a foreign language! Bonus points for learning and using more than one foreign language.

7. Be Direct. The best Valentine you can give? Take your lover's hand, look her straight in the eye and say "I love you more than anything on this earth" -- and mean it!

8. Be a Slave to Love! Give your sweetie a coupon for a free back rub or a free home-cooked dinner. Better yet, volunteer to be their "slave" for a day! Yes, you may have to take out the trash or fold laundry, but their gratitude will make it all worthwhile!

9. An Email Valentine with ASCII Art. Send your sweetie an email Valentine using just the letters available to you on your keyboard. It's known as "ASCII" art, and it's been around since computers were invented. Here's a small example: >>--(\/)-->

10. An Email Valentine with Clip Art. Can your significant other view graphics in their email program? Find an appropriate image on the internet (search for "clip art"), create your romantic email message, and then attach the image before sending!

11. A Home Page Valentine. You can also use the romantic clip art (see #10 above) to create a web page to declare your love! Most internet providers provide free space (2-5 MB) for your web pages; check to see if yours does.

12. An Evening of Romantic Music. If your home computer has speakers, be sure to tune into the Love Song Radio! You may need to add a plug-in to your browser, but Resources to free plug-ins are provided as well. No need to select and change CD's, cassettes, vinyl records -- it's an uninterrupted evening of nothing' but love songs!

13. Buy a box of children's valentines and write a sweet nothing on each one. Every day, hide one in a special place that you know your love will find.

14. Buy 7 small valentine tokens or gifts. Wrap each of them separately along with a special little love note to go with each one about why you love them. Give one to your love every day leading up to the big day!

15. A great idea for long distance relationships, or if you don't live together, is to buy seven valentine cards (or love related cards) and mail them so the first one arrives seven days before Valentine's Day, the next arrives six days before, and so on.

16. Leave a few candy conversation hearts around the table with dinner or desert to remind your love about the upcoming event.

17. Drop hints all week about what you have in store - little gifts symbolizing what the surprise is. For extra fun, make it into a scavenger hunt.

18. Collect some memorabilia of your time together and give them to your love one at a time leading up to Valentine's Day, along with a note about why you thought that particular moment was special.

19. Give them love coupons that expire at midnight on Valentine's Day!

20. Every day, try a new kiss!

21. Make a cute nickname for your love and only call him or her by that name for the rest of the week

22. Remind yourself, and your love that, not only are you best-friends, husband and wife... but also lovers. Treat your love like you would your lover.

23. Make a holiday tradition... every time you go through a doorway together, kiss! Or, every time you say the same thing, also kiss!!

24. Sing a variation of "Happy Birthday", "Happy Seven Days Before Valentine's To You" and so on, as many times as you can throughout the day.

25. Make a commitment to each other to do one thing romantic and together every night before Valentine's Day, even if it's just to be alone and talk all night!

26. Give them 101 reasons why you love them!

26. Candlelight Dinner with just you an her home alone

27. Rose pedals spread all across her bed

28. Surprise her with wine and flowers when she comes home

29. Take him/her to a romantic movie

30. Tease him or her with lingerie/sleepwear that he/she really enjoys

31. Buy your love a new outfit for Valentine's Day

32. Send your love to a health spa and/or beauty salon

33. Send 7 roses (or other type of flower) the first day, 6 the next etc… down to a single red rose the night before with a little note saying how much you love them and cannot wait for the next day.

34. Candles, candles, candles everywhere! Light a trail to your bathroom homemade spa. Light up the kitchen table, the fireplace, the bedroom…well, you get the idea!

35. Play a romantic board game

36. CHOCOLATE! Needs I say more?

37. A gift basket full of romance books

38. Don't buy a card, rather make it yourself (& it works). Handmade Valentine Crafts

39. Breakfast in bed

40. Homemade Valentine Treats or prepare a Valentine cake in the shape of HEART.

41. Leave a small note saying "I LOVE YOU" beside her pillow to make her day begin with some romance in the air

42. Don't go to office and spend it with your spouse.

43. Take her out for a long romantic drive.

44. Send bouquet of Roses with a love note.

45. Leave a small gift hidden in some corner of home with clues to its where about.

46. Go Dancing together

47. Write a sincere, wonderful love letter

48. Give her/him a nice sensuous message

49. Decorate the house especially for your spouse on Valentine's Day

50. Propose your spouse again

51. Arrange a special Valentine's dinner for your parents (at least an hours drive from home) and arrange a Valentine bash, for your sweetheart at your house

52. Take a long walk holding each other's hands

53. Let her sleep while you watch over the children

54. Start saving for a special holiday fund for the two of you

55. Visit a place where you've always wanted to go, but never got the chance.

56. His/her favorite perfume/cologne

Hmmmm.......

Don't know too many women that'll reciprocate to those ideas (though they seem like very good suggestions)

*proceeds to try two of them on sexyscorp to see if it gets thrown back in face

Valentine's Day? Huh? What is this Valentine's day you speak of? :dunno::confused::lol::confused::dunno:

Naw, no plans for me next Saturday, you never know what might happen around this time next year and beyond, but this year I'll be chillin' as a single man. That's not to say I won't hang with a young lady on Friday, or Saturday, but as far as having a "Valentine" goes, that won't be the case in '09...

I've never really seen Valentines Day as a big deal ... the day normally comes and goes without me even noticing:dunno:

One Valentines I bought myself a huge teddy bear that I saw and liked ... some people said that was wack ... but the bear was on sale:dunno:

At exactly 4:00 pm, my S.0. is going receive a delivery at her desk. There's going to be a cell phone in a red velvet box. At 4:02 it's going to ring. Her boss will instruct that she has the rest of the day off, and there's a car waiting downstair that she needs to be in by 4:15. When she reaches the lobby, the chauffeur will be holding a card with her name on it. She will recognize the script in red marker. He will then hand her the fur I bought her last year and confirm "He said It's going to be cold where youre going, you will need this". She will smile. Safe and snugly seated in the town car, she will slowly stir up memories with her favorite drink in her hand, mimosa along with smell of roses also eqipped in the Limo. The cell phone will ring again at precisely 4:20 but this time it's a female, her flight attendant. She informs the lady of her itinerary, but she already knows where she's going and with whom. In an effort to be surprised she poised the obvious question as inconspicuously as possible without giving away her overwhelming delight "Will there be ...(pause)...seating for two...on the plane?" Satisfied that her response sounded inquisitive she takes another sip of her champagne. The attendant affirms her suspicions with a moist "Yes" that resonated with a smile through the phone as she abruptly ended the call. By now, if you are still reading this, you have also figured out, that I will be waiting in that seat when she boards.
I won't even look up when she sits down, I'll just reach over into her seat with kiss to say "thanks for coming". Then return to my magazine, a catalog of fine deep dark German Chocolates.

I heard the native chocolates were far more of an APHRODISIAC than the American imports.

We will know for sure when our plane lands.

:D

Actually, my V-Day will be the same as last year, maybe I will switch it up, and go with the jergens instead of Vaseline.

don't know. something out of a jewelry store or another coco chanel purse.

:hmm:

I'd be just as happy with a pack of socks as I would with a coco chanel purse. But a Wii would make me smile like it was ANOTHER coco chanel purse...

Ain't shit wrong with that. I got a dog, a duck, and a turtle that I bought for no damn reason at all other than I liked it.
