Urgent Re Question

I'm working in this office training as a loan officer/real estate agent and I don't have my liscence yet. My parents were looking for some income property and I found them a nice building on MLS that cost $1.2mill with a 2.5% commision on it. My pops visited the property and fell in love. I called the broker over my office in regards to my cut (before ever sitting down with my parents, or introducing him to them).

He's asking me how much do I want, and as a hustler I know to not name a price. He keeps talkin shit about me legally not being able to take commission and that as I learn and make more deals the commision % will rise but he wants me to name a $$$ or percentage. Hell I want it all, but realistically I'm learning and have never had a deal, better yet a million dollar deal. Commission is $30,000 for the realestate alone not even thinking about the loan. What should I expect on the loan? Typically is the full 2.5% from the property sale commision all paid to the realtor?

What would you guys ask for? I could call another broker I'm close to and let them put a bid in. the broker is almost acting like I need HIM. True, I need a broker, but I don;t need him. If he offer me some bullshit Im considering calling this other broker I know or telling him you can make X amount or you can make nothing! My parents wanna put an offer in next week. :confused: :confused:

What State are you in? In CA, you can receive funds if everything in done under the Corporation and it is set up that way. If not, then find one that is and start the negotiating the deal for your parents. Again, I am speaking if this is in California.

No... The Broker's Corp awarding you the funds. In California, you can receive funds if you are working under the Broker's Lic. Now you guy can do that because he have you working there now. If you are doing any Real Estate deals like contacting clients and talking about Real Estate in any way.
Me... If the Broker will not do a 50/50 split, I would not say a word and find one that would!
