I mean Christians hearts were hard back in the times of slavery, Jim Crow and civil right eras. So hard white Christian hearts are nothing new. But mega churches putting their finger on the scales of politics is just getting blatant now! They just got they're whole foot on the scale now.

Hell, following actual scriptural canon, Christians have always been faulty. Most of the stories involving Christians are about how they were screwing up, about to screw up, or had screwed up in the past and needed some sort of guidance or correction. Which is fine, if your takeaway from that is "always working to be a better person" and not "those Old Testament guys had the right idea..."
If TRULY divine judgement comes down, the CHURCH is screwed.

Religion is truly the opiate of the masses. Unless one is not opposed to the subjugation of women, genocide, slavery, the rape of children (I am looking at YOU catholic church)...I could go on.
I was asked once by a relative, now deceased, why I didn't have any faith in christianity. I responded by asking him why a man with such significant Native heritage would be so devoted to the religion of the people who committed genocide against his ancestors.
The answer? Crickets...
