UPDATE: Donald Trump Takes Office as the 47th US President

Marco Rubio says US will revoke visas from Chinese students, add new restrictions

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the United States will be "aggressively" revoking visas of Chinese students, days after President Donald Trump demanded the "names and countries" of international students from Harvard University.

"The U.S. Department of State will work with the Department of Homeland Security to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students, including those with connections to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields," Rubio said in a statement on May 28.
Rubio said the State Department will be revising visa criteria to enhance "scrutiny of all future visa applications from the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong.”

The state department did not immediately respond to a request for comment on why Chinese students were being targeted, which areas of study were being considered crucial, and how many visas were expected to be revoked.

The Trump administration has paused scheduling new visa interviews for international students at U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide, as the State Department prepares to expand social media vetting of foreign students, according to an internal cable seen by Reuters on May 27.

The Trump administration has also announced it will revoke visas for all foreign students at Harvard University, although that measure was immediately blocked by a judge.

Administration officials have moved to deport student visa and green card holders for engaging in pro-Palestinian protest and criticism of Israel's conduct in the war in Gaza, calling their actions a threat to U.S. foreign policy and accusing them of being pro-Hamas.

How does this help tariff negotiations?

Jailed reality TV star Joe Exotic rips Trump Chrisley pardons

“You are either rich and connected or your poor and being trafficked by the system,” Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado, said criticizing the clemency in one of many posts, which were uploaded on his Instagram account Tuesday.

“I guess being innocent is not enough in America,” he wrote in another post, this one shared on social platform X. “They all admitted to perjury on world television but yet I’m left to die of cancer before I can get any help.”

He added in separate X post, “I don’t have a million dollars but I would give it if I could get out to work.”

In other posts on both platforms, the 61-year-old “Tiger King” star insisted he is innocent, claiming he “did not hurt anyone” and “did not pay anyone.”

Yeah Musk didn't learn anything from the pillow guy before those pockets started getting hit. Sounds like he gets it now.
I was wondering what gave Musk Rat the boot.

Elon Musk is leaving his role in the Trump administration

Elon Musk, a key adviser to President Donald Trump who oversaw the U.S. DOGE Service, said Wednesday that he is leaving the administration after leading a contentious effort to reshape the federal bureaucracy and slash government spending.

Musk wrote on his social media platform, X, that his “scheduled time” as a special government employee had come to an end.

A day earlier, in a major break with the president and Republicans, Musk said he did not approve of Trump’s major spending bill — officially known as the One Big Beautiful Bill — with its massive tax cuts.

“I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing,” Musk said in an interview with CBS News.

In an interview this week, Musk said his efforts to cut the size of the federal government proved far tougher than he had expected.

“The federal bureaucracy situation is much worse than I realized,” he said. “I thought there were problems, but it sure is an uphill battle trying to improve things in D.C., to say the least.”

Shit, what more was left for him to do??? He caused irreparable damage to govt agencies, he and his team aquired data that companies/countries will pay out the ass for(who knows what he did/will do with it,) and leaves with more govt contracts than when he started. Given how insufferable he and Trump both are, take your parting gifts and be up out.
