Thanks so much to y'all brothers who contributed to this thread, I found some gems I hadn't heard and I'm a lapsed music nerd (especially R&B!). Here's a singer I think y'all will appreciate. She was Anderson Paak's back up singer before the incredibly beautiful and talented HoneyPaak girls took over. Very much worth following as she and her band randomly go live and bless with some dope vibes:

this single was not on album tho.

Honestly bought this album at a bootleg spot and was pleasantly surprised. Too bad that she wasn't with a better record label. Appears at though the whole family is putting out quality music between her, Rass Kass and their kids.
INCREDIBLE album. Doc McKinney, producer on this joint, also produced Esthero's first album Breath From Another which I keep on the same playlist. Very much worth a listen if you like Res. Her second album that featured a track w CeeLo is worth a listen too:

I've liked all of Esthero's albums. For me the 2nd one is my favorite.

Dope ass song. I love when the lyrics speak to a deeper meaning of the song, then the Beat Drops. Add to it Heather Headley has an amazing voice, it's a shame she didn't blow up

This was a popular album but dude dropped off the map for a while (until he popped up on and did his thing on an incredible Kaytranada album a few years ago afaik):

My guy has a new album out that I peeped on my timeline and this single jumped out at me, some dope throwback vibes imo and the video is pretty cool haha:
