What do you do? In general. Don't have to be specific?I went to Vietnam last year and about to go back in a month. It was work related, but I enjoyed my time here. I was in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Saigon.
Saigon is really nice. It’s got about 10 million people. Motor bikes everywhere. It’s relatively clean and the food is on point.
Man, at this stage in life, the only way to travel internationally is by flying business class—unless you can afford first, but most airlines don’t offer first class. Business class is definitely the way to go, and flying on foreign carriers like Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, ANA, Japan Airlines, or others is the way to travel. You definitely want to avoid all three of the American carriers: United, Delta, and American.Thailand and Vietnam. Lived like a Kang on $13 a day. Vietnam is extremely cheap. Beach messages for ends up less than $10 US. FLIGHT length broke my MF spirit but worth it. Thailand; do mainland before you do remote islands. See the big shit for cheap.

Business class is only worth it if your get upgraded. Paying $4000 to fly to Thailand defeats the purpose of balling out of control once you land. I do comfort plus, and if an upgrade comes, so be it. Comfort plus and melatonin—done.Man, at this stage in life, the only way to travel internationally is by flying business class—unless you can afford first, but most airlines don’t offer first class. I’m mostly talking about playing the points game. I generally accumulate a few hundred thousand points a year, and then I use them on international travel. There are also a few times you can catch business flights on sale for 50 to 60% off. They call them mistake fares, but I believe it’s part of their marketing when the seats haven’t sold and they’re able to hype the product.Business class is only worth it if your get upgraded. Yeah, I got a trip to the Philippines and Tokyo for 105,000 miles and $88. I have a flight scheduled to Belize in November through miles but I may cancel that trip for a trip to Thailand/Vietnam. Thank God, I travel internationally about every month now. United Airlines for the win. Treating United like Uber.We really need to transform the hotspots in your city into the travel forum. There’s an abundance of travel-related information available that we can compile into this forum, particularly when it comes to flight deals, hotels, and accommodations for Black people.
By the way, I noticed that United Airlines had a sale a couple of days ago for its credit card holders. They offered significant discounts on flights using points to fly business class.
I'm going to get rid of my Plat AmEx so I traded in 400k points for miles on Singapore Airlines. Planning something in January or February.I’m mostly talking about playing the points game. Singapore Airlines is offering a special sale to celebrate its anniversary on August 15th. You can find discounts of up to 60% off from business class to premium economy. I have a few hundred thousand points that I intend to use to book some travel in their business class.
They have a Telegram group you can join and catch all of the deals.
Definitely look out for that sale on the 15th. They’re celebrating 60 years of independence.I'm going to get rid of my Plat AmEx so I traded in 400k points for miles on Singapore Airlines. Planning something in January or February.
