The United States has announced a reward of $25 million for help in capturing the Venezuelan leader.
The US authorities have increased the reward for information that will help arrest Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who formally assumed presidential powers for the third time in a row on Friday.
The award increase, as well as the imposition of another package of sanctions against Maduro, was announced on the day when the Venezuelan leader took part in the inauguration for another six—year term.
The American authorities are convinced that Maduro is guilty of drug smuggling. Washington has publicly announced the reward for Maduro's capture before, but the reward amount was $15 million. Now it has been raised to $25 million.
