They don’t have to be good jobs. Many people just not trying to work fast food, retail etc. I went into two retail stores today and both of them had we are hiring signs. But yet nobody want to take those jobs. They had one line open at both stores at the register with 4 other empty lines.

Why would someone get a job working retail if they can't pay their rent with it. We have created an economy where we have jobs that people can't live on. They either have to have multiple can't live on jobs or a can't live on job and a hustle that works. Saying someone can work a job that they can't live on is a false choice. WIll working that job get them out of poverty. No. They will still be in poverty just working 40hours a week. They basically become minimilly paid slaves. But you know what would fix this? Universal basic income.
