Its hard for me to consider it an Oscar "snub" when the guy has 2 Supporting Actor Oscars already. Plus we've seen the wild-Jack "character" before. It's like Pacino...he can't get a nomination for every role.

Word going around is they want to give something to Scorsese. Which is why Dreamgirls was passed over for best picture. But those awards are bullshit anyway. Halle got one for agreeing to fuck Billybob on camera so who cares who gets one and who doesn't.
But on the real, I didn't think Departed was that good. I thought it was thrown together and the script was pretty lame.

What's more annoying is how Forrest Whitiker took home a Golden Globe and its gone virtually unnoticed even though brotha man has earned the shit out of it because everybody is yapping about Jennifer Hudson. She's got skills but she's NEW. Just because white folks are fascinated with her doesn't mean she's fascinating. Lots of sistas can sing and act; check the off-Broadway plays. Forrest got best actor and seems like nobody is saying shit. I'm glad to see him rock the house like that and hope he gets an Oscar, although an Oscar is the film evuivalent of a Grammy - its a popularity contest and holds no real measure of merit anymore.

In my humble opionion, that was one of Jacks weaker roles. Mark's nod was well deserved. His character was one of the sharpest he's played.

Plus Jack played a SNITCH! That disgusted me... And not the good type of snitch either. He was a major player in the game finking on other players. He gets no love.
