Nope, if he signs a new 2 yr with the mavs then becomes a free agent he can resign for higher because of bird rights. He will actually make more.

Melo forced his way to ny... Howard may not force himself to the nets...even then I really don't think Otis wants to deal him to the east...even if it's just for this year I think he'd deal him west and Howard would just have to suck it up and play with Kobe. Objectively, the lakers potentially offer a better deal for the magic and they can take one more bad contract. The nts can only take 2 the lakers can take 3

Which is exactly what Howard can do. Look we both agree that this clearly isn't about winning because LA is the best option by far. I don't think Otis has a choice. Do you see what they want from LA? Gasol AND Bynum.....not or. I don't even think LA is gonna entertain that deal....The thing that gets me is that Dwight had 3 teams his people could talk to but he specifically said NJ. He didn't have to say that he could have just made the list and left it at that.


And again let's be real here, NJ deal was leaps and bounds better than NY. What Otis wants is irrelevant to Dwight. Even if the Lakers make the best offer, if Howard doesn't sign they won't pull the trigger.

Yeah I agree. Like I said earlier I just wanna see him say he'd rather be a net than a laker just to confirm he's not about winning a title. As u said earlier he's about his ego which will make him say it. I just wanna see it lol
