The the technology it takes to travel between stars is 1000 times more advanced than ours. The fastest object we have ever launched would take 40,000 years to reach the nearest star. What makes you think the government reveals everything they have to the public upfront? They literally are showing old vids of ufo sightings they had for yrs to the public now. The government wouldn’t have to reveal it. Aliens would have no need to hide and they wouldn’t navigate all the way across the galaxy to crash. They would announce themselves.

If humans died tomorrow the planet still exist, other species of life still exist. What if they not here for us. Humans are so self absorbed that they think this planet exist because of humans. 2 These outside observers want eventual contact with Hue-Mans, but with as little panic and disruption in your lives as possible. So they allow craft to be downed and bodies (dead and/or alive) to be recovered so that you can learn about them and prepare for the day that they do openly contact. Crashed vehicles and/or those that can be "shot down" give Hue-Mans a false sense of relief that the aliens aren't all that advanced ... Hue-Mans haven't seen anything from these beings remotely close to their "advanced tech" or even their "military tech"
