Those kneebars are nasty!

Incredible comeback in that fight. They bumped it up from the early prelims to the televised portion to fill in space after the previous 2 fights were short in duration. He was losing before catching the sub in the 3rd round. Look for him to collect a $50,000 bonus later tonight.

Appreciate the clips. I missed most of the card. Some good fights tonight.

Yeah - it's had a good pace so far. Some decisions, subs, TKOs, etc. I was impressed by Botelho getting the quick finish in her fight. She has some good power - especially in the women's division.

Oh and good looking Helico! :thumbsup:

The prelims never on the channel they supposed to be in anymore.

Yeah - they move around the cards (prelims & main) here in Canada too. Either on the Fight Network, or one of the 4 - 5 TSN channels. The main card's on TSN2 for those in Canada checking this thread at the moment.

:thumbsup::cheers:

I'm hoping this Maia/Usman fight is not a grind it out wrestling play it safe scrap.

FUCK!!! If Usman wins and he starts talking shit like he's the greatest:smh: He HAS to put on more exciting fights!!!!!

Maia? Retirement or continues gatekeeper

Usman? Meh. He needs to make a statement on his next one or I'm kicking him off my list

Agreed. Maia is 40yo now and has been taking plenty of damage his past 3 fights versus Woodley, Covington, and now Usman. For his own health ... he should probably focus on teaching/coaching and BJJ tournaments. He won't be getting near a 170 or 185 title shot any time soon, and it took him many years to get back to a title shot (after lots of consecutive wins) versus Woodley in 2017 (after the lackluster performance versus Silva in 2010).

Usman needs to take more risks. As he said in the post-fight interview ... he dominated a legend from start to finish. Mind you, he's nearly 10 years younger than the guy ... has taken far less lifetime damage in competition, and has a greater overall resume and diversity skill set-wise. Going 25 mins with Maia at 40yo isn't exactly winning over any new fans.
