UFC 258 Usman vs. Burns....

This was Usmans biggest challenge. Since I.wqsnt.that big on him as he was on the rise, I didn't think he'd answer these questions.

Sheeeeyit , I was wrong. He answered em.all.

He got.caight early and kept his composure.

I've always thought his hands were pretty trash, but all of a sudden this guy shows this crazy jab. Props.to.Trevor Whitman for tightening up this guys hands. He has power, but his technique has gotten better. That was his toughest fight.

Good call out, coming back after Mas Vidal. Go get that easy money. You earned it. If Colby can win his next fight that lines up a part 2 there. Between.the Mas Vidal fight and the Colby fight, he can get Major press. Being champ gets him pay per view money.

I'ma go head and guy get on the train. Usman is a potential GOAT.

Sad to see that he had to do that to his boy. Real life is like that. Only one can be champ. I loved the respect in the end. .Gilbert got. Ltbingnto be ashamed of.

Yeah I gotta give it up for Grasso and Kelvin as.well. I was gonna clown Maycee, but she showed out in that third round. Props.

Kelvin getting back on track after some losses. His title fight with Izzy is still one of the best ever. Grasso moved up in weight, right? Barber is still young in her career in early-20s. Needs to shore up some weaknesses and will be better in time. Nice thickness. Grasso is fine. Shoutout to Polyana Viana on the prelims also. Beautiful and talented. Nice sub.

I dunno how ANY of them can fuck w Valentina, but at least they can fight each other. The rematch w Grasso and Barber will be great down the line

Valentina’s definitely a consumate pro. You’re right ... she’ll be champ for awhile. You know she’s legit when she’s had 2 competitive losses previously vs double champ Nunes (who competes at 2 higher divisions now). If they were 1-1 we would have probably already gotten their trilogy. Though the UFC probably thinks it’s a tougher sell with Nunes up 2-0. With another win, that would slightly diminish the appeal of Valentina at 125, with Nunes still at 135 and 145. I’d love to see Zhang Weili move up as 115 champ to go for 125 too. Or give us that 115 rematch with Joanna J’. Which was already a certified instant classic just under 1 year ago. What a fight!

Two 115lb badasses.

My old ass fell asleep right before the Usman/Burns fight. I woke up right at the end. About to watch that fight again in a minute.

That Macyee/Grasso fight was a banger and Kelvin looked amazing ...

We had a snow day yesterday ... had to put in some extra hours & was resting later on and checking results & highlight clips.

Watching the main now, and gonna check out Kelvin-Ian, and Grasso-Barber shortly.

Hoping Kelvin gets back on track ... some tough losses there with Adesanya, Till, and Hermansson, but he's always been right there within contention. Always a tough out for anyone. Got caught early with the sub from Hermansson, and a tough stylistic match-up with Till. But shit ... he went the full 25 mins with Adesanya and didn't embarass himself. Keep in mind Kelvin used to compete at 170, is now at 185, and Adesanya will soon be competing for 205 gold.

25 mins with him is very commendable.

Black Excellence.....

There really isn’t that many of us that fight MMA. We never get an easy road and often get held back from getting opportunities (Jacare and Yoel Romero). We don’t get the extra hype either.
But when it is said and done, our excellence cannot be denied. We are the Champions and the GOATs in this game just like we are in every game we get opportunities in. I hope Usman runs the tables for the next coming years.

None of that is true

Jacare and yoel.romero didn't get held back. Yoel actually got a push. He's had numerous title shots

Anderson.Silva got pushed. rampage got pushed. Rashad Evans got pushed. Jon Jones got pushed. Daniel Cormier got a push.

Israel Adessanya is getting push. Francis Ngannou is getting a push. If Jordan Burroughs wanted to get into MMA, he could get a title shot from day one. There are factors that contribute and race, if anything, can be more of a positive factor than a negative, if at all.

Star power, ability to self promote, willingness to take fights when called , fighting style, nationality all play a part. If someone comes from a country that the UFC wants a market in, they get carte blanche. Usman, Isreal, and Francis will be able to make the first UFC card in Africa. Problem is, the country it's in on the continent will probably be either Morocco , or.Soith Africa.

Yeah Dana wants to see if Weili can be some.comp at 125-- that's IF she can get Rose outta here.

Rose got the ability to possibly be a problem at 115 and 125c but shes a basket case. I really don't like her , cuz she isn't taking her gift seriously, plus , I think her h uh mble act is fake. I hope Weili finishes her, and goes up to 125. Then I hope Valentina shows the difference between them and deads that. Although I'm never mad at seeing some greatness , and Valentina having to be pushed.

But Valentina and Nunes being even competitive, with that weight difference , tells me SHE is the p4p.

When it comes to MMA, I know what I’m talking about. Look at those names and their records, then look at when they got their title shot and who they had to beat to get it.
Next, do the same for Bispong,Weismann Mcgregor and 3 other white champs of your choice.
Then compare the data.

I just watched the fight w/ Usman and Burns and then watched the Usman/Colby fight.

Usman's chin is incredible. He took some solid shots from both men and still kept coming forward. He didn't shoot or start running, just kept coming forward like a damn cyborg.

Usman's chin is the real MVP!

Chris weidman- 9 wins straight before he got a chance at a belt. Anderson Silva pretty much walked into a belt after 2 UFC fights.isreal got it in 5. DC in 4 fights. Is that how you're measuring this oppression?

You're the one making the claim. I'm the one laying out details. Prove your point.
