Talked to pops today and he asked about the fights. He figured the quick wins from Masvidal and Nunes didn't give the fans their money's worth. I explained to him that Nunes is the women's GOAT. She has been serving up fellow/former champs like Rousey, Cyborg, Tate, and now Holm. Making it look easy. She's deserving of her double-champ status. As for Masvidal ... he's in the record books and on all the LIFETIME KO reels. One for the ages! It's not simply that it was a quick win, it was definitive. No early ref stoppage. Askren being dominant in the sport OUTSIDE of the UFC. And now barely getting by Lawler previously, and obliterated by Masvidal. There's levels to this shit. Masvidal is a seasoned MMA pro. Askren's a high-level wrestler with little to no striking. Masvidal embarassed him and all real MMA fans are pleased.
