The Swede was on his bike the whole fight. No way this should have been a split decision. Those knees he tossed were killers though. DC has a hell of a chin.

Proof that styles make the fight. DC gets a split decision over Gus, who got destroyed by Rumble, who got choked out by DC. There's no dominant alpha in that division top 5 right now. If Jones comes back in true Jones form, he should be able to pick up where he left off.

You see why Jon Jones was such a dominant champion. He has so many tools and he was super creative in the ring.
This is just another grind of a fight. It's gonna be close, but D.C. will win because he is doing the pursuing. Guss is running most of the time.
D.C. don't just gas for nothing. He has usually taken about two brutal shots that zap a ton of energy from him. Shit even Jones was looking tired as fuck after Gus walked a couple of dogs on his ass. D.C. actually looked a lot better after damage in the last round in this fight than he did in the Jones fight. I give credit to his new live in nutritionist and good weight cut this time.
If jones came back to the ufc he should not fight Cormier because he already beat him unanimously. He needs to beat Verdum. Verdum already beat Caun and proved Cain ain't shit without his juice. But I know jones would dominate verdum.

And they bring attention to the sport. And in Jon Jones and that whole division you have TRUE COMPETITION. I love it.
They mentioned a possible April fight with D.C. and Jones in New York. This would be the first UFC fight allowed in NYC. Jones is a New Yorker....almost a no brainier. 
Seems like DC used this has a test run to deal with length without wrasslin'. He didn't want to prove shit about his striking. Just knows he isn't going to out wrestle Jones so he wants to beat him up while taking advantage of that chin mother nature gave him.
For those who only caught the main card which was decision-heavy, make sure to check out the Fight Pass & televised prelims from UFC 192. Plenty of quick fights & stoppages and very quick to check out and won't take you too long! Props to DC and Gus for putting on a good title fight. DC-Jones II will be interesting next year after their 1st bout in Jan. 2015, and Gus is in a tough spot now. He's lost to 3 of the key players @ 205lbs (Jones, Johnson, DC).

Damn you make a great point. Last time w Jones he spent the whole time going for takedowns and that failed him. Next time will be different but striking with jones is even crazier in a way. Either way I wanna see it again no matter what. Jones beat him clearly but there's always a shot
Yeah the prelims were even better if ya ask me. The women's fights were highlights.
DC-JONES II will definitely be great. Can't say DC didn't earn his way back to this shot.
Even before Jones went away, Gustafson would've gotten that shot. DC had to beat both top contenders. Jones should come and fight Bader first as a warmup, maybe.
Or just come right back to it. Let's hope he still has his mind right.

Definitely some good bouts & rematches @ 205 in the next few years ... just need to get them in without too much delay. DC will be 37 in March, and Jones will eventually move up to HW ...
