The Republicans, since Reagan, have played the media expertly well and have been better at getting out their message: small government, low taxes. Yes, they govern in the exact opposite manner but they got that part covered too. They coopted talk radio first and had tv follow and not just Fox News. From "The View" to CNN, many so-called "non biased" outlets are actually conservative in nature or spend no time explaining how Republicans and conservatives lie.

Whatever his beef is with public school, it's not an accident that a great number of so-called "conservatives" are private school and/or homeschool educated.
Progressives need to market themselves (ourselves) better and we need to support honesty based, reality based media instead of just the ones that tell us what we want to hear and I say that as a MSNBC fan. If Maddow or any of those hosts were shown to be blatant liars like all of the FNC hosts, I'd be done with them too.
