It is different with artists because what they give the public is a representation of who they are.

50 Cent and Lil Kim did a song talking about "I'll let you lick the lollipop." You can't reasonably say Tyler's orientation-- his "sugary fagness"-- can't be a part of his music when sugary straightness is all over the place.

This is a good example of how the protest that this should be private is just a shield for anti-gay views.

It isn't news or news worthy every time someone announces they're gay at this point.

It's distracting. side note: I like the movie Fight Club, & I always found one line in there really odd. "What we really need is not another woman," Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt's character)says.
