On today's #EverydayStruggle, Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, and Nadeska broke down Tyler the Creator's album leak and the lyrics where it sounds like the former Odd Future rapper comes out. The conversation shifted to whether or not the hip-hop community is really accepting of openly gay rappers and if that has changed over the years and will adjust going forward. Later, the crew ran through some timely news, including Meek's new album, Jay Z and Kanye West's relationship, Blac Youngsta fuckery, Vic Mensa freestyling, Hov's tour, and more.

Yeah, I think it is news the first time a major figure in a hyper-masculine space comes out.

Half of the "why is this news" people are people who hate hearing about homosexuality because they are uncomfortable with it. Which is exactly why it is news. It's noteworthy and potentially risky, certainly worth a conversation somewhere-- which people often seem to forget they are not forced or at all required to participate in.

How's wrong and right on this one. No it's not real "News" when someone comes out as gay nowadays but if a current star the NFL, MLB or NBA it'll be big news.

Also it's big news for a popular male rapper to come out. Women, no one cares.

Tyler talks about gay shit and is weird so it'll be accepted, any of hip hops top tier rappers come out and it'll be news.

It is different with artists because what they give the public is a representation of who they are.

ALMOST NONE OF THE STRAIGHT RAPPERS KEEP THEIR ORIENTATIONS TO THEMSELVES.

50 Cent and Lil Kim did a song talking about "I'll let you lick the lollipop." You can't reasonably say Tyler's orientation-- his "sugary fagness"-- can't be a part of his music when sugary straightness is all over the place.

This is a good example of how the protest that this should be private is just a shield for anti-gay views.

I wont speak for Joe, but while it make qualify as news... Its not a shock if youve heard enough of his shit. If you were a fan before, youll probably still be a fan, if you wernt before......... Its still on the "No shit......... So who grilling out this weekend???" tip.
