In 1990, he was sued by several women who claimed that he had installed a video camera in the bathroom of his restaurant. Berry claimed that he had the camera installed to catch a worker who was suspected of stealing from the restaurant. Although his guilt was never proven in court, Berry opted for a class action settlement. One of his biographers, Bruce Pegg, estimated that it cost Berry over $1.2 million plus legal fees.

They seemed to have already released all the dirt they have so Tyler isn't going to be as pressed to settle at this point.
Tyler Perry too busy worrying about creating another show. He could care less about this shit which doesn't hold any weight getting dismissed in court or he'll have to pay a small amount settlement money.

Derek Dixon, an actor known for the show "The Oval," speaks out in his first television interview since filing a lawsuit against media mogul Tyler Perry.
Rodriguez alleged in the lawsuit filed last week in California that Perry assaulted him during encounters that occurred between 2014 and 2019. His lawsuit says Rodriguez cut off contact with Perry in 2019, with these screenshots now showing Rodriguez initiating contact with Perry as recently as Thanksgiving 2024 and again on Aug. 31, 2025, expressing gratitude, friendship and financial distress.

You can't tell me duke was harassing you, making you feel uncomfortable and trying to financially abuse you...... if you initiated more of the contact. Especially in the months leading up to the lawsuit, which was already years past the abuse. Why reach out to him if he was so wrong for you?
