You know what, how about I back the fuck up and not defend a motherfucker i don't even know.Believe what you want:
Bill Cosby had an MO. He would invite women to his home where he would drug them and assault them. In some cases the women had no memory of what had happened. In many others they reported they were drugged, but awake and powerless to stop him. Then he would use his position as a celebrity to threaten them with a potential blackballing if they were to report him. Many of his victims were women trying to get their start in show business and felt stripped of agency due to his status.
"Lisa", one of Cosby's victims reported that in 1988 she went to a hotel room to run lines with Cosby:
He talked about, "Let me see what type of acting skills you have, I want you to improv." And as I tried to do improv, he fixed a drink and then he brought it to me. It was a brown liquid and it looked like a shot. I told him I didn't drink. He said that this was going to relax me so that the lines would flow out a lot easier. So I had to drink it. He made a second drink and had me drink the second drink as well.
I noticed myself getting a little dizzy. Bill had sat down on the edge of the couch. He said, "Come over here and have a seat." He had his legs open and when I sat down, I was sitting down in between his legs with my back to his crotch. He started to stroke my hair back in a petting motion, like this. The last things I remember is just feeling the strokes on my head. After that I don't remember anything else.
Cosby was committing so many of these rapes and assaults that he surely lost track of all of them as evidenced in this interaction from flight attendant Colleen Hughes who said that:
According to Hughes, the two went to her hotel room so she could shower and change clothes and, when she emerged, Cosby had ordered champagne and appetizers. Hughes claimed that Cosby was drinking champagne out of her shoe. There were also glasses of champagne, Hughes said, and Cosby handed her one. The last thing Hughes claimed to remember was Cosby attempting to hold her hand, after which she woke up hours later.
“My clothes were thrown all over the room and I felt semen on the small of my back and all over me,” Hughes said. “Bill obviously did not use a condom and there was no lunch and he was nowhere to be seen.”
Hughes claimed that, approximately a year later, she encountered Cosby on another flight. When she reminded the comedian of the alleged incident, Hughes said, Cosby “turned pale and said ‘did you ever report that to anyone?’” She replied that she had not.
Age was not even a boundary for Cosby as there were two specific incidents where abuse occurred with a minor. A 17 year old model moved to New York City after an appeal by Cosby to an agency to find "girls who were 'not financially doing well,'" and were from out of town.
“He promised my parents he’d take care of me. The first time I met him, I had tears in my eyes,” she told People last year under a pseudonym. (Thompson revealed her real name in March, as further accusations against Cosby mounted.)
Her parents agreed to let her move to New York only because of Cosby’s assurances he’d take care of her, she said, but it became clear to her that Cosby had more in mind than nurturing a young actress’s career.
“He said, ‘Get that magazine, pick an outfit and I’ll get you that outfit. You’ll wear that outfit and we’ll go out to a nice dinner. And then you can come back here,’ “ she told People,“ ‘and you can have Amaretto, your favorite, and you’ll be tired so you can just stay here and sleep on the couch.’”
Eventually, she said, Cosby pressured her for sex at his home, and she reluctantly gave him a handjob. She said he gave her $700 before she left. He responded in the deposition that any touching he’d done had been consensual.
He later called her parents to offer cash in the form of an educational trust to make the accusations go away.
The offer to pay for school is one that Cosby would use again and again. He used the same device on Andrea Constand, telling her parents he would pay for the rest of her education.
Cosby was indiscriminate. He even attempted to rape supermodel Beverly Johnson who managed to escape by calling Cosby a motherfucker and he did assault Janice Dickinson, another model.
In her account, detailed here she explains that her experience at parties as a supermodel in the 70s allowed her to recognize instantly that she had been drugged. When she lashed out at Cosby, calling him a motherfucker, it must have struck a nerve with him. He violently grabbed her and pushed her out the front door and flagged down a taxi.
Maybe the worst thing Cosby did was take a fifteen-year-old girl to the Playboy mansion, give her alcohol, and sexually assault her way back in 1974.
She alleged that
While at the Playboy mansion...Cosby directed her to a bathroom within a bedroom suite near the game room. When she emerged from the bathroom, she found him sitting on the bed. He asked her to sit beside him. He then proceeded to sexually molest her by attempting to put his hand down her pants and then taking her hand in his hand and masturbating himself.
The rest of the story pretty much follows a pattern. Bill Cosby used his fame, money, and power in whatever combination necessary to persuade women to just accept what had happened to them and not to "embarrass him publicly".
Again, I'm not here to throw dirt on the Brotha man. I just can't ignore the facts that 60+ women state that they were drugged and raped by him.
And you're entirely free to believe what you believe.
All I can say is at a time when black men can be thrown down the mountain for a little to nothing, it's hard for me to believe that these secrets Stayes secrets for 20, 30, or 40 plus years.
I don't doubt that this kind of shit went on, but as much as America loves to bury black men it's hard for me to believe a black man did this and got away with it for this long, that's all.
I don't know him, and never met him or Michael Jackson. But living in a world where black people know that they can't get away with the same shit that white people get away with and he was doing this shit for 20, 30, 40 plus years is crazy to me and just doesn't compute.
Same thing with Michael Jackson. I'm going to step back on wholeheartedly defending motherfuckers I don't even know. I'm not an investigator or a detective and any evidence I saw may or may not be real.
