I'm not a TP fan and I don't care for what he produces and calls entertainment. But I don't knock him because he produces work for black entertainers that normally wouldn't get work. Even where he built his studio its in the heart of a black community. On top of that he donates to the community.

Not perfect but he does more than most who are praised and give nothing.

Fact is Disney blessed Coogler with 200 mill budget for this film and it surpassed its budget in box office sales.. Fact is Coogler already proved he could draw a box office hit and he’s only on his third major film

Fruitville station 900k budget made 17 mill, Creed 40 mill budget made 173 mill and now BP

Enough said, Coogler already proved his genius so ask me again why he need help from TP? Ask me again Coogler proved he can make films that’s not a fuckin black stereotype.. and like you said TP gave a space to make the film so why he got to mention that? Did Prince mention all the philanthropic things he did? Nah he just did it with no fan fare..

A TV show shot some scenes at my high school in Toronto and the film company donated alot of school supplies to my school and even gave the school a check for $15K to help with renovating our school gym.

Lol. Well at least we've progressed from his studio not being used, to wanting props for it. Baby steps.

We've tried to give shine to every other black person involved from costuming to hair and makeup. A major achievement, but the only person you have a problem with being associated with it is TP.

You're projecting a whole lot into that tweet that TP didn't say. He didn't say he helped Coogler, if anything throwing work his way helps TP. He hasn't taken credit for any ideas or anything. Y'all just don't like TP and the hate y'all have for him is blinding you to everthing else.

He may be bragging a bit, but he didn't go overboard. It's ok for folks in other countries to brag and take pride in the fact that parts of the movie was filmed in their homeland, something part of the marketing, but TP isn't supposed to be proud that part of this masterpiece was filmed on his property? Anyways, I don't think Tyler Perry movies are that damaging for black people. His audience is mostly the old-people, church-going demographic that can relate to the characters in his films. The original minstrel shows were full of white people laughing at black people. These types may be at his movies, but they're in the minority. Most just consider Tyler Perry to be the buffoon, not all black people.

He's obviously now trying to capitalize on the Black Panther name. And that's alright with me as long as he learned something from the movie. He can make his millions with a black film without having to do the stereotypical buffoonery.

Shameless Promotions? Are you aware of how studios make money? Studios make money by renting out their space. To be able to film a movie like Black Panther in your studio is something to promote especially after marking $300 million.

Real progress is separation. We are forced to live by a reality that whites created. They want us to be an enemy of truth like them. The movie black panther was very questionable to me. In the 60's and 70's only the drugged out punk rockers had all those tattoos and piercings. Now it is almost a part of black life. Same with cannibalism. Tarzan movies and national geographic and stuff make it seem as though it was a black thing. Those lip things are a part of our history. But it is a part of our history after our true identity had been erased. Shit our history did not start with the land being called Africa. Africa was named after a white man.
In that one scene where those different flying vehicles came up. One of those is a copy of a real vehicle like that that has been filmed by different people. And that brother was right. Right now and maybe it has always been that way since other races were grafted from us, but it is either conquer or be conquered. We are living proof of that.
