Two felons rob Starbucks - Arrested after wild police pursuit in Miami-Dade [ RUN FOREST RUN ]
Authorities have apprehended two black robbery subjects who lead them on a chase on Interstate 95, Wednesday morning.
According to Miami Police, an off-duty firefighter noticed one of the subjects running with a money bag from the Starbucks on Northeast 68th Street and Biscayne Blvd. The subject jumped into a white Toyota and fled. The firefighter called 911 and police located the vehicle and a chase ensued.
The pursuit came to an end near 175th Street where the interstate meets the Turnpike after the subject crashed into a median. One of the subjects was apprehended, but the other bailed out of the car holding a wad full of cash that was more money than he had ever seen. He jumped over two fences and fled on foot through a nearby neighborhood.
The black subject then continued to wander through the neighborhood, even through the yard of a Miami Police officer and dropped money at times.
Miami Beach Police said they are working closely with Miami Police regarding the two subjects because they have had a few robberies in their area earlier this morning and this past weekend. They are trying to determine if these black felons are connected to those crimes or if it was a couple of other black felons.
