good question
And I agree being militant is in no way negative ESPECIALLY when it comes to Black people.
however just from MY perspective on bgol culture.
I THINK the term 'militant' on bgol for some reason has taken on the connotation of EXTREME Blackness (I have no idea what that is by the way). On some kill all white people on sight almost CB4 caricature level.

Anyone how supports something so absolute is then always subject to extreme scrutiny especially on bgol. Then so -called 'e-militants' have to ALWAYS be on a Pro-Black agenda and can't even be clever ironic or facetious.
If they make one comment that contradicts ANYTHING they say...the whole board is quick to say SEE...YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.
And if you say you ONLY prefer Black women you are "less then a man". Pussy is pussy, what is wrong with you???
NO one wants to be challenged or made to feel inferior.
So if you say you only date Black women (or are vegetarian or don't watch TV, etc.) you are ATTACKING THEM and making them feel insecure and less-Black or enlightened for example.
But more and more it seems that men who support Black women (and BLACK-ness) as a whole get marginalized and ridiculed.
EVERY one of my Black Person of the day posts get 1 starred REGULARLY & OFTEN. If I post an Internet Crush who is of darker skin tone more often then not I will get a response of I'd STILL smash...as if there was a hesitation because she had a darker complexion.
I cannot condone the term coon though, it just gets me more then any other slur.
However I also understand that it is a label that unfortunately fits many...you can't just use it on everyone, because then you just won't be taken seriously.
Again remember this is bgol logic (an oxymoron if I ever heard one)
But Bills you already KNOW this.
But it is what it is.
