I THINK the term 'militant' on bgol for some reason has taken on the connotation of EXTREME Blackness (I have no idea what that is by the way). On some kill all white people on sight almost CB4 caricature level.

You know what is funny I hear White women tell my fellow Black female co-workers...

The Black women for the most part run their respective departments regardless of actual title. They are always complimented on their strength and honesty ( I recently posted a Black Woman of the Day who runs Xerox who talked about this) and directness...

But I can tell you during quarterly and management review...they will hold that same "strength" against them.

Because when it doesn't suit their agendas it becomes ATTITUDE, LACK OF TEAMWORK & UNSYMPATHETIC.

Can't win.

So the Black woman gets called unladylike for being focused no-nonsense determined and aggressive... like Serena Williams (white people hate her) but then if they remain 'ladylike' they get criticized for being passive, uppity and acting white...Black people hate her.
