The Gilded Age on HBO not action packed but interesting view of New York City in the late 1800's the class status, and how people viewed new money over old if you loved Downton Abbey this is for you.

We Need to Talk About Cosby, episodes 1 and 2 on Showtime is informative and eye opening a lot of things i didnt know about Cosby's early career are presented. The film definitely gives the women who accused him of harrassment a voice. In the middle of one of the episodes i asked my family could they seperate art from the artist basically they feel the same way i do ,what he admitted to doing to various women is terrible but they would still watch Cosby show repeats.

Crazy how Boba Fett keeps getting side lined in his own show but im enjoying this expanded and connected universe im getting weekly.
I cant wait to see the conversation between Luke and Ahsoka about his father during the Clone Wars and his ultimate redemption

Yo! If y'all haven't seen Reacher on Amazon Prime yet, check that shit out. Fire. And dude fits the mold a lot better than Cruise

There is a BEAUTIFUL stumble over words at 6:00 in episode 3 that's great acting and writing. It is a tense issue. Very well done

I have no idea why but this little show fascinates me. I connect with no one on the screen but I actually care about the main character so much. If the cancel it tomorrow I wouldn't miss it. If it was 20 episodes I'd binge watch them immediately

I am very confused.

There is a pain, frustration, longing and angst and anger there just beneath the surface that is captivating.

I listened to this podcast episode in my rotation yesterday. She explains her journey to making the show, Playa. It's a pretty good listen. I had a chance to see the 1st episode earlier in the week. Thanks for recommending it. Good points you made about the "pain, frustration, longing, angst and anger just beneath the surface ..."

It's an interesting watch

Considering absolutely no one looks like me

There is this palate of pain they working with that is just very human.

Yeah - it was unique to see the 2 leads in ep 1 ... as they aren't your typical attractive, polished people of TV & movies.

Gonna check out episode 2 in the near future.

^^^^^^

EXACTLY!!!!!!

I don't know how to process that yet

But after a few minutes I completely forgot how they looked and didn't care

That is some powerful performance when you can do that.

The Kings of Napa is focused on a gorgeous and picturesque Napa Valley, California vineyard owned by the Kings, an aspirational African American family whose wealth and status lands them on the pages of design magazines and society pages. The wine business has brought the family success and acclaim, but following the patriarch’s sudden exit from the company, his three children must grapple for the reigns to the kingdom — to their own power, wealth, and legacy.

Does Quibi even still exist?

Quibi (/ˈkwɪbi/ KWIB-ee) was an American short-form streaming platform that generated content for viewing on mobile devices and launched at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was founded in Los Angeles in August 2018 as NewTV by Jeffrey Katzenberg and was led by Meg Whitman, its CEO. The service raised $1.75 billion from investors.[1] It launched in April 2020, but shut down in December 2020 after falling short of its subscriber projections.[2][3][4] In January 2021, Quibi's content library was sold to Roku, Inc. for less than $100 million.[5][6][7]

On January 3, 2021, it was announced that Roku was in advanced talks to acquire rights to Quibi's library.[46] On January 8, 2021, Roku officially announced that all of Quibi's 75 programs would be streamed on their platform on free ad-supported channels.[6][7] Roku acquired the content from Quibi for an amount less than $100 million.[5] The shows would be rebranded as "Roku Originals",[47] with 30 of them relaunched on the service on May 20, 2021.[48]

I am on binge

I am VERY entertained

Going to eventually check it out.

Our current rotation = 1883, Gemstones, and The Responder.

Recently watched Ozark and The Tourist.

Really looking forward to Peaky Blinders' final season.

Going to finish up Goliath (seasons 3 and 4) in the near future. Wrapped up watching season 2 a few weeks ago.

Thankful for these shorter seasons. Part 1 of Ozark being 7 eps. Goliath seasons are 8 eps. The Tourist was 6. The Responder's 5.

We thought it was really good. Plenty of tension ... solid new cast additions with Javier and Mel. Enjoyed their scenes throughout. Probably another few nominations coming Julia Garner's way for her portrayal as "Ruth" ... that scene at the end of episode 7 with her talking to the Byrdes ... wow. Have replayed that scene a few times.

I talked to one of my sons down in Louisville last night. "Maaaan, how come you didn't tell me about Ozark?!" :eek2:

Boy, I told you about it in it's FIRST season...fuck you talm bout, son?

"I know. Everybody kept tellin' me it was good but I kept putting it off. I was looking for something to watch after I finished watching Peacemaker and started the first season of Ozark...OMG!!"

He's on Ep6 of the first season and is hooked. He's already figured out what characters he likes and the ones he loathes.:roflmao:

Nice. Glad he's enjoying it!

Yeah - it's one of those shows wherein there's quite the cast of characters ... and no one's safe. Everyone's playing with fire ... as we've seen with certain key people getting blasted over the seasons.

Funny (and crazy) watching that counter balance of personalities with Marty and Wendy too. You watch Marty under pressure and think HOW in the fuck is he not losing his shit? His life's a mess ... if I were him I'd go hide out in the middle of nowhere with the family. Never to be seen or heard from again.

Reacher on Amazon Prime. Alan Ritchson easily slips into the role Tom Cruise took on for a couple of movies. Funny, action packed and mysterious I'm looking forward to the next episodes

MS. Pat show now available on Amazon Prime is extremely funny for the most part a couple of episodes are kind of clunky and Brittany Inge has one of the greatest figures ever !!

This is a quirky show but I really like it. It kinda seems like a YouTuber's content and he lucked up with HBO signing him.
John always manages to entertain me with his perspective.

Yeah - it's definitely a unique show, and doesn't overstay its welcome with the short seasons & running times. Each season essentially being about 3 hours. Hell, it's even cool seeing the genuine friendship he has with his elderly landlord and incorporating her into a few episodes along the way. Good to see them reconnect in season 2.

I just started back watching this over the weekend (didnt make it through the first episode last time i tried). Two episodes down, i'm mildly intrigued. It's giving me Breaking Bad vibes. And yeah Ruth is an interesting character.
