The best thing about this show is how optics and politics ruin every righteous thing on the planet. I hate all the superheroes except for Annie.

Also I'm going to need my boy Karl Urban in a British Gangster movie. ... He is killing this Role.

Also this Show is really Showing me.. that Gawd damn SONY should have never been allowed to touch POWERS.
I fucking love the Story of POWERS and it's killing me that I may never see it get the type of Treatment that The BOYS and Umbrella Academy were allowed to get.
The crazy part is that..... Katee Sackhoff star of ANOTHER LIFE on Netflix.. was Campaigning Hard to be part of the FX pilot for POWERS.

wow amazon absolutely did the comic series justice...made it halfway thru but I gotta step out...definitely finishing this up tomorrow...this is why ‘the walking dead’ needed to be on a network that had the balls to just stick to the comic for the most part...watching it unfold would’ve made for classic television

Thank gawd this was renewed..... Like I said earlier...... this had the feeling of a PART 1 type of season.
And Again...I'm pissed because this is the epic type of shit that I could have gotten from POWERS.. if they put money behind it.
It's the type of show that ppl will either hate or love. I loved it but i'm a huge fan of Refn's recent films like neon demon and Only god forgives. The pacing is slow on another level, like each characer staring off in the distance for 45 seconds after each line slow. It's unlike any other tv show, ep lengths vary from some of them being around 90 mins, some around 75 mins, some around 60 mins, while the 10th ep which is the finale being the shortest one at like 31 mins. Think it comes out to about 13 hrs total from the 10 eps. The show feels like it was written for a one hour format and the only reason some eps run (up to 30 minutes) longer is because Refn chooses to pace scenes as slowly as possible. It definitely plays like a 13 hour Refn film as opposed to a TV series, complete with languid pacing, neon-noir color schemes, beautiful cinematography, and archetypal two-dimensional characters. I chose to watch finish this over a weekend when it dropped and it took me 3 weeks to finish s3 of JJ which dropped on the same date as this

I wish they had their powers instead of being regular people for this season. I thought at first butcher had powers when he was fist fighting translucent after hitting him with his car.
It works much better this way. It adds a level of tension to the confrontations ... Plus Compound V looks to be a little different in here.

wow @ the ending...I don’t remember it happening this way in the comics...what a twist...I have no complaints about this shit other than they should’ve dropped two seasons instead of just one lmao...the actors...the story...even the song selection for the end of each episode were all perfect...anthony starr killed that role...the arrogance and disdain he projected...the ever looming ominous threat he presented...dude played a great villain...you just knew he could snap @ any given moment...wow...curious what direction they’re taking it next season...I’m about to go reread the entire series just to refresh my memory...amazon finally got one
