I'll admit that after 2 seasons I thought this show couldn't get me in an "WTF did I just watch?" moment. But during that scene in the 1st episode it made me say it out loud.

he has a God Complex which I guess is to be expected since he has been treated like one
if the tape doesnt keep him in check not sure what does
thats one thing i liked about the comic vs show...it was more a cold war/mutally assured destruction...Butcher and his crew have no chance against Homelander and he really gives no fucks. The shit he did to Deep was foul..and the Deep is one of his 'friends'.

The Boys season 3 : This show is definitely in my top 10 of being the most shocking and over the top. Couple the carnage with characters that are dealing with their own depression and inner demons,which brings the tension and suspense to overwhelming levels. I really enjoyed the backstories in the episodes. Homelander is one of the greatest villains/characters ever created.
Right! You give most people super powers & they turn into assholes. I’m waiting for Soldier Boy to show up. It should be good. He based off Captain America & no way a white dude from the 1940’s isn’t racist.

Exactly this. The only movie I personally remember that broached this theory is Hollow Man starring Kevin Bacon. Remember when he got his invisibility at first he was doing perv shit like spying on his fine ass neighbor while she showered? But then he went full savage was like, "fuck this shit! She can't see who I am" and eventually straight raped her ass. As disturbing as that scene was there is some truth to the belief that for the most part humans would abuse their powers rather than use them for good.
