More change on The View: Raven-Symoné has been named co-host of the ABC daytime show.

The former star of Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven has already filled in as guest host of The View 37 times, taking over the vacancy left by Rosie O’Donnell. Effective immediately, she will join moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez.

She appeared on the show Wednesday for the announcement.

“The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me,” said Raven-Symoné. “The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. I want to thank ABC, ABC News and The Disney Company for believing in me and my potential. Let’s have some fun!”

i don't even watch the show but every time she opened her month the last few months she said such utter nonsense and it kept getting more buzz all over social media.

bgol called this one EARLY...and I didn't think they would risk it.

But if it is already a consensus that she is a bubblehead then I guess its a smart move business-wise for the show.

I can see why this would be an intricate topic on BGOL because technically it is journalism.

I don't watch The View like that, but after checking out this thread, I definitely came upon some stuff I didn't know regarding the history of that show
