Hell a lot of actors and actresses have gotten their break on soaps but the past couple of years they have been canceling soaps left n right, there are only a few left now. My General Hospital is still on.... And fuck you niggas who hate, moms had a nigga watching that since I was a teenager..

I guess, not surprised, not sadden, not caring. Soaps are so 90's, surprised all of them are not off tv yet. You really don't need soaps because with all these reality shows providing drama and a storyline I thought they would take the place of daytime drama. I give it 5-6 mores years and I believe all soaps will be off the air and replace with talk shows or daytime reality shows, they provide the same drama like the soaps.

... and I'll say the last time I was into soaps was in the early 90's of Guiding Light when the show had a young Nia Long on it.

Mama's living vicariously through soaps during the mid-day should been over in the early 80's

Good now all they need to do is cancel the rest of those damn things. Shows been on for years and never a rerun.

Soap operas have launched the careers of a multitude of TV and movie stars and have also employed the support crew that goes with every TV show including writers, producers, cameramen, stage hands, etc..

This is a sad day and definitely the end of an era.

I was a young pup when my Mom's used to watch AMC and had me start watching as well.

I can remember the third time Erica Kane got married (to Tom Cudahy) and the first time Jessie and Angie appeared.

I STILL to this day however have never forgiven them for killing Jenny Gardner (Kim Delaney) on that Jet-Ski.

I feel you. My brothers and I suffered through the same thing since we were too young for full day of school. Then I started watching it when I started college because that is what the girls watched and the guys thought they were only watching it to get laid until..hook--line--and sinker. We got reeled in and were beating the girls back to the lounge. Glad I broke that addiction.
